Hi everyone - a while back I wrote a note asking how to cancel my visa petition for my former boyfriend. I did as was suggested and sent a certified letter to USCIS stating my reference number and my wish to cancel the visa petition (129-F). Imagine my surprise, that today I received an email saying that my petition was approved! This is all very bittersweet (as I was definitely at least expecting and RFE as we did not have his original signatures on the documents). What can I do now? Who can I write to cancel this? I do not want this to effect his ability to apply for any other visas, but also think we need to put this option behind us.

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

We are on the same boat. I also sent a cancellation letter to USCIS, but until now there is no feed back from them. I am worry now, I might get approved also. Hope they will do something regarding to the cancellation letter i sent them last December2008. When did you sent your cancellation letter?

Sorry to hear that you are not going to be needing your visa anymore, but better to find out sooner then later, however...even though you did get approved and arent planning on continuing the process any further can you update your profile so the rest of us sept fillers can get a more accurate estimated adjudication date?
