Hello OBX,

Pls update the sheet I got interview dat MAy 6 at USE-Manila...Goodluck to all who are still waiting. I hope you guys can get interview soon.God bless

Belated congrats on the interview date. Just caught the post now.

I had got a interview at 13 th May. by NVC. I asked the embassey about a earlier appointment and got it! Now my interview is at 9 April.. Feel really good!

If I do the POE at Guam can I get my SSN?

Wow, that's just around the corner! Good luck

No sure what you are referring to with regard to the SSN. Generally the SSN is received after entry to the US. Many people are reporting that they have had to go to the local SS office and apply (even though the appropriate box is checked off on the DS230)

Hi all,

Congrats on those interview dates to everyone - this is all so exciting!

Quick question - we have a cover letter for the DS3230 from when we paid the fee and we received an RFE for the DS3230 because we havent sent it in and wont for a while since we dont have police certificates. So when we do have the certificates which cover letter do I use? Thanks in advance.

I sent the bar coded cover (which proves you paid and tells you where to send it) as well as a typed letter listing the case details, our names and info as well as a bullet form list of what documents I had included. The template for this can be found in the Wiki Guides. Is this what you mean?

I guess I forgot to explain that we have a cover letter from the RFE also. So I have one for the fee paid and one for the RFE which cover letter do I use?

Jaqui,

Was the RFE generated simply because NVC received your I-864 and were waiting for the DS-230? If so you might want to call and see if they still require the RFE coversheet.

To cover all your bases, however, I would include the RFE coversheet as well as the barcoded sheet you printed after paying the IV fee.

As A & M stated a cover letter listing all items included in your package is wise. Anything that makes it easier for NVC to process a good idea.

Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.

Hey everyone,

Our case was completed yesterday!:star: Was told to call next week when they begin to schedule interviews!

By the way, we sent the RFE'd items without a cover letter. They accepted them no problem. We just addressed the envelope to ATTN: DR and included my own cover letter with case number, name, birth date and signature in it. The official RFE letter came by e-mail later on, by which time the items were already at NVC. :D

But if you want to be sure, then include the cover letter according to the instructions.

Good luck to all, especially MMW whose interview is tomorrow, I believe!

I was assigned a May CR-1 interview last week, but on Monday I recieved notice I have a K-3 interview April 15th!! Well if I wasn't already here in the US visiting I would contacted NVC and got my case to the embassy in time to use the April date for my CR-1! I emailed the embassy and they said it was possible although there was no guarentee when the CR-1 case will arrive at the embassy. The protocal is that the May cases are only "required" to arrive at MTL by the end of April. She gave me not spcifics about my case. I am sure I could have pressed for this if I wanted the April interview but I just cancelled that date and am happy to stick to my original travel plans for my May date. Just wanted to share my story to let those if you wondering if it's worth following the K-3 know depending on timing you may be able to swap and save a bit of waiting for your interview!
