But I found when the topic is related to politics, this extension of manors is seldom returned so... I

have come to embrace,

"when in Rome do as the Romans do".

As we saw Palin, her newborn son and her other kids savaged for sport, I don't see why anyone would treat Obamas family with kid-gloves.

Since someone raised the point in conversation and gave their opinion, let me offer mine.

Mrs. Obama is an average looking woman (given her age), though she does appear angry which

is never attractive in a person.

If her portrayal as a mother matches reality, I would agree she is a good mom.

With the exception of weight control, people have little control over physical beauty, most of it is Genetics (just ask Oprah), so why credit or bash her about it?.

Very few woman can look like Cindy McCain at 55 (or whatever her age is).

But Ironically the OP made comment about Mrs. Obama's fashion sense.

While I would agree today she looked very nice but often... during the campaign (and before) she wore some of the worst outfits, I'm glad to see she now has help with that.
