Question about resubmission of I-129F packet requested by Vermont, can anyone help?

I submitted my original I-129F packet last week and it was received in Vermont on Monday 1/12. Yesterday I received a package back from them with a letter. It had everything I had sent, including my check and the letter said I sent wrong I-129F revision dated form and to use correct form and resubmit everything. My question is about my check. They stamped the back of the check 'For Deposit Only USCIS'. Should it be ok to send back this same check or should I write a new one? If anyone can help I would appreciate it, their customer service is not working and tomorrow is a holiday so I want to resent it first thing Tuesday but I want to be sure first. Thanks and good luck to all! ~Jan~

Write a new check and use the current version of the I-129F. No need to call USCIS. We don't call it the misinformation line for nothing.

I have already prepared the correct form and I will send a new check. Thanks so much for your advise! I wanted to be as careful as possible!

the check was only endorsment stamped it would be fine to use the same but if you feel better sending a new one thats good too. kinda stinks that you have to fill out new forms because an older version was used its not like they really change all that much. good luck to you with the rest of your journey looks like you've gotten your little bump in the road out of the way early so hoping for smooth sailing for the rest :)

I would rather be safe than sorry I think, just i case someone questions it. I want to avoid any more 'bumps' right now. Thank for you reply and good luck to you also! ~Jan~

P.S.. I am really glad to have this forum to sue during all this, helps the stress level some.

i practicly lived on this forum during our k1 process i think i would have had a melt down if a co-worker hadnt told me about it. there are a lot of good people with so much useful info. i could never have done without it.

im starting to feel the stress come back now that we are doing aos, have to keep reminding myself that once its in the mail its out of my hands but that doesnt stop me from checking for updates every few hours or so lol

I completely understand. I'm a little obsessive about it all too, but I just want everything to go right the first time so Rachid & I can finally be together everyday. Not too much to ask I don't think ;)

I have one more question maybe someone knows. Does anyone know when they change which revision date they accepted? Because I got the original form from this website last month and now they have change it here to the correct one. I am just wondering if many others will have this problem they may have just submitted in the last month or so.

Hey fellow Morocco filer :D lol. I don't know when they changed the revision date, but as far as where you find forms and so on, make sure you get it from the USCIS website because the ones on this site are just meant to be example forms really. If you have any questions about the process once the packet arrives in Morocco, let us know. I'm in Morocco right now waiting for my fiance's interview date to be over and all that good stuff. Hope all is going well so far for you two!!

We met in October 2007 and our immigration journey started in July 2008 when we filed for the I-129F Fiance Visa petition.

Thanks! This time I did get the form from USCIS website, lesson learned, lol. I will surely take up your offer for questions if I need to. I am planning to go back to Morocco in April for another visit while we are waiting through all this. Good luck to you both with the interview! :)
