K1 Address typo

So I just left South Africa on a visit to my girlfriend.

We went through all the paperwork together and she signed all the necessary docs after everything was filled out.

However, she thought her address was "Karabonkle", but instead it seems to be "Karabonkel".

I don't want to wait and have her send another signed form. Is this really going to be a problem? Can I use white out to fix it?

Sigh...

Rather than white-out, just cross it out and put the right spelling above/below it and initial the change.

Correct - on goverment documents, never white out.

Single black line though the mistake, with the correction placed by it.

The only issue I could see is that the correction is after she signed it. That could raise a concern, but if you have the address correct on other forms, it should not be an issue.

You may want to add an additional sheet explaining the correction if you want to cover all bases.

Hmm...I wonder how would they know the correction was made after she signed? There is nothing that would indicate the correction was made before or after. Or maybe I am missing something...I'm all ears if so.

she could of made a new copy with the correct info.

most people wont submit errors on important documents like this.

But since your typo is small - should be no issue

On these forms either is fine but the white-out you would want to use is the tape rather than the liquid. Is the liquid even available anymore. Changing an address is no any kind of a concern.
