My russian nevesta thinks sometimes its all a fairy tale then frustrations

Well this is the story. I am 23, she is 21 right now. I AM coming to her first to her on her birthday in july.

When we talked the first month, it was exciting, full of information. Then second month on the phone, emotions started with information, she the 3rd month she really opened and is sometimes is all open and tells me how she is scared she might stop loving me when i come to her.. stuff like its a fairy tale... untill i see i won't beieve most of it.. a lot of this frustrates me because I know its real and im meeting her, i got the tickets and my tourist visa..and etc. then she tells me 20 mins later..oh im sorry.. i didn't mean it.. plus she only says stuff like "I love you" only when she feels it, would never say because she knows it. Just a lot of frustrations, I heard that the best thing to do before meeting her, is just ignore those things from her and just know that things will be different when she sees, no more skaska.

I can tell you right now at this moment since my date of arrival is nearing, she is getting more of a reality point of view and thats why she is more scared...what could happen..

Any of you guys with this experiencce? what are your opinions, suggestions?

Meeting for the first time is exciting and can also be difficult. All of the uncertainty comes to a head and decisions will be made. She sounds like someone who is thinking with their brain and wants to believe but also be cautious and prudent as well.

I wouldn't sweat it. The only way to find out if it is totally real is to meet and let it ride.

That just comes with time though. She is just being cautious. We all want the fairy tale but are afraid of it too because then you have the realization that this is it.

She just wants to be 100% sure.....body and mind. She says stuff like that because she doesn't want anyone to get hurt just in case it isn't what you both thought it was when you meet in person.

A first meeting can be heavy emotionally. Especially since you are both in your early 20s. She is probably a little confused, scared and happy all rolled into a giant ball of nervousness. Someone is flying halfway across the world to see her.

It is kind of like a fairy tale. We have an image built up in our minds about our perfect person and it is hard for anybody to live up to anybody's else's idea of perfect.

Just keep communicating. Go with an open mind and no pressure. Reassure her that there is no pressure and just listen. Smile, laugh.....have a good time. It is a wonderful opportunity. Relax and enjoy the moment. Try to understand what she is thinking and going through.

Make sure you have a big smile when you meet.

At the same time it is kind of scary at first to think you have found your fairy tale....it's something everyone wants but then all of a sudden you have it. It's great, don't get me wrong, but I think it also comes with a little bit of pressure and definately a desire to want to know for sure.......nobody wants to think they have it and find out later they are wrong.....that's the scary part I was referring to.

I can really relate to this. My guy and I talked for 4 months over the phone before we finally met in person. We are also of similar ages- he is 25 i am 23. The whole 4 months was a rollercoaster. Like you said 1st month really exciting and then later on the worries start kicking in. We would always discuss the concerns we had, sometimes argue- and a few weeks before he was due to fly to me, we were both discussing that we didnt think it would work out, but hey we lways had friendship. In hindsight, we were really just protecting ourselves from getting hurt. It sounds like your girl might be doing the same.

When we met in person, the 'click' as immediate and all of our concerns disappeared. We get along fantastically, and are very much in love.

I really think its probably nerves, and like I said she is maybe just protecting herself. Its natural
