Did you ever take her parents out to dinner when they were here?

Actually I visited them back in January. They'll be here on June 30th.....yikes. I have to learn how to cook better!

I did manage, however, to find one store that actually carries a Peruvian liquor called Pisco. I was shocked they had it. You mix this clear brandy with lemon juice, egg white, crushed ice and sugar in a blender to make a drink called Pisco Sour. It is really, really good......on the order of a Mike's Hard Lemonade.

no plans to celebrate as of yet, but I suspect he's going to be so wrapped up in the World Cup that he won't even notice if I'm in the apartment (unless I stand in front of the TV)... HAHAHAA

Stevens Point, Stevens Point, direct center of the state.

WIMap-doton-Stevens_Point.png

Not that there's anything to do there, but I grew up there. I have to take Tamer on a grand trip of Wisconsin some day, definately need to head out to the Appleton/Greenbay area for the Jansport outlet, which last time I checked was coming into Appleton on highway 10 towards the mall and sams club on the west side of town. I got the cutest Badger hoody with a W on the front and Bucky on the butt.

Maybe next meetup.

Much love to all my long lost Wisconsin peeps (from a Minne-so-ta traitor).

Will there be cheese curds?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Blasphemy! Green and Gold all the way! There are actually a ton of Packers fans here. The Vikings fans are too weak to drive us out.

Mmmm, cheesecurds. There are no good cheese curds in Minnesota, except the ones Wisconsin farmers bring in to sell at the Farmer's Market. I need some good deep fried cheese. If the choleserol in cheese won't kill ya, we'll deep fry it to add a wee bit more.

Ack! Thank God we don't have any of those up here. I think the Vikings and Packer fans would united to expell any of that sort. :bonk:

GO BEARS?????? And Frances, I was just thinking how cool it would be if you could come..... ;) hahah

Well....how about Appleton then Merc? Would that be ok? Prob. about same distance for each of us there I would think....it used to take us 3 hrs to Appleton, but with new roadwork etc(2 lanes where it was 1)when we went down for my Sis' 50th bday it was only about 2 1/2....so that should be about right, right? Plus, places to shop in Appleton!!

Does anyone have a good idea on dates??? We can start looking for a place...restaurant,etc. probably doesn't matter too much either. Where would you all want to go? Steak?(somewhere..not nec. here, but like Prime Quarter?) Or Red Lobster, etc etc....I don't have much of an opinion here...anywhere would be fne with us....

Hmmmm cool. So......Appleton? Now for the big question..when then? :) M.

Whenever we visit Appleton, my family has always gone to Mr. Cinder's. Huge greasy burgers and even more greasy cheese curds. Mmmm. I think they might be Cinder's now.
