I am comfortable now.... hubby makes a decent living and I bring in some extra money..

You know why you used the word 'now' there, don't you?

I'm the same way. My wife and I are comfortable now.

But wouldn't it be nice if you could say "we're comfortable" without attaching any time-conditional caveats?

I said now because we weren't comfortable a few months ago.. things are looking up now....

LOL, sorry, I am laughing at AJ's over analysis and that you are trying to answer him...at least in California it's not as late, you may be the only non-loopy poster right now.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

Seriously guys, you're not joking? $30 for two? The whole bill, not just the entree?

There are restaurants like that? REAL restaurants, not McDonalds and such?

Yeah. $30-35 for 2 is the norm for us.

Of course, we're poor. That's why. We find these places the same places we find coupons.

Come on, a movie with popcorn and coke costs more than that.

Two entrees at $10-12 each, a water (her) and a soda (me). Done. We out.

How's that "going out"? Might as well order Chinese takeout or go to McDonalds.

A good bottle of wine costs more than $30-35.

depends on where you go to see the movie.. we used to go to this theater where it cost about $6.50 each and we got a large soda and popcorn to share for like 10 bucks and it even came with one free refill...

Really? All movie theaters cost the same here - about $11 per ticket.
