Hi folks,

Our case is now completed at the NVC and after a call to them I was told that an interview date for my husband will be scheduled the second week of January. We first began filing, sending in the I-130 and later I-129 which were both approved at the same time, in the beginning of July. Our case was completed at the NVC on December 16th. My question is does my husband have to have any sort of completed vaccinations before the interview? We haven't recieved any information regarding vaccinations or the medical exam yet but we want the heads up so we know what to expect and if it's possible to get a head start on required vaccinations. I have retained a lawyer as a matter of insurance and assurance and he says that vaccinations are not required until Ali is in the US (this may be a mistake as he may have been referring to the K-3 visa at the time. We were pursuing both at that time and then settled on the CR-1). A link would be helpful!

K-3 can defer vaccinations until adjustment of status from NON-immigrant to Immigrant. CR-1 Require them done before visa interview. Vaccinations are a requirement of immigrations, CR-1 is an IMMIGRANT visa.

Hello. I just got my NOA 2 and thus I am looking at the vaccins to get done. I just don't understand that crazy list. What is it that I really need to have done given that I am a 31 year old woman (thus no HPV if I understood well).

My husband had the same issue. I had to copy and email the letter NVC sent me. (He never recieved his copy and NVC informed us to do this) He then took that to the medical center (Akai house I think) where they start issuing the shots which takes about 2 months. He didn't complete them before his 1st interview, and this was one of the reasons for denial of his visa. They said he needed to have them completed by his 2nd interview which will be in Feb.

A list of required vaccinations will be included in letter sent out by NVC. I believe this list may vary depending which country your foreign spouse are from. I don't really know what shots I needed until my medical exam. When we got the list, I was in the US visiting and my husband brought me to the hospital for some of the shots which include Hep B. When I went back to KL for my medical exam, the doctor told me that I don't need a Hep B shot actually. So, you'll never know what you need until you see the doctor.

Yeah I see it's required. I don't think USEM inforces it from what I've seen.

Thanks for everybody's information. I got the pneumococ done this morning. I am trying to space them because it's bad for one's health to have many done in a row. My Hepatitis B was not done but on the USCIS website, it says that it is for people under 18. I am surprised to see that some have to wait for having Hep B done.
