by the way I still haven't received a NOA for my I-485 and EAD. I can see it online though.

But you have finished with biometrics already... I guess you are still good and on target. NOA1 is less important than NOA2 anyway. Hopefully, they won't miss sending you all NOA2 when the time comes.

JulianDavid, johnichka, Levi Heather, and others who are still waiting for biometrics, I am crossing my fingers that you would all get the biometrics appointment letters soonest.

Good luck to all of us: to those who have been transferred to CSC and to those whose cases are staying put.:thumbs::thumbs:

Finally, after a month of stressing out, we received our Biometrics appointment letter. It will be march 16, so much later than most of you but I am so happy at least they have not forgotten about us. I am indeed praising God for this.:dance::dance:

I hope the remaining january filers who have not received biometrics appt letters will soon receive theirs soon. God bless everyone.

Updated to include our bio appointment and to include she's NOA1 date.

we just had the biometrics yesterday. I was glad I took my NOA's as well as the appointment letter because we had to fill out a form that asked for information that the NOA had on it. When we first arrived, I had to surrender the two appointment letters (both wife and daughter) so I no longer had them to refer to. :star:

Our biometric appointments went smoothly for both my wife and step-daughter. I took the marriage license since the appointment letter was issued in my wife's new name but her passport displayed her old name. The worker took both in at the same time, and 15 minutes later, we were leaving! I was a bit surprised that I was told to "wait here" while they went down the hall, but it was fine with me.

I am a January filer for AOS too. Still waiting to hear from CRIS regarding my Biometrics. Have noticed that most or infact all of you have received Biometrics within two weeks. Its been more than a month since my file has been touched. I place a service Request on 02-24-09, but doubt they'll be of any help. Is it because I am adjusting Status from B-2, that my case is taking that long and silent. From what I read, EAD is supposed to be disposed off within 3 months. Can I schedule an Infopass without having to wait for another 45 days?

Your help will be appreciated.

my wife explained to me: they both went back at the same time and they were taken to separate computers with different people. They each went over the paper that I had filled out for them, verifying that each line was correct as it was entered into the computer. Then the workers cleaned my wife's and step-daughter's hands, and the fingerprints were taken. First they did all four fingers together on one hand. Then they took the thumb print. Then they took each finger individually. After completing the one hand, they did the other in the same manner. Then each had their photo taken. They asked if the photo was ok, or if they wanted to retake it (I thought that was nice). After that, they asked my wife if she was satisfied with the service. (I believe this was a customer satisfaction survey).

They both came back out to me less than 15 minutes after going down the hallway, so it went very well. I hope all offices are as friendly as the Indianapolis office!

I guess it depends from one USCIS office to another. In Alexandria, VA they allowed my husband to be with me during the biometrics. I was even asked about why my last name is different in my appointment letter from my passport and it was my husband who answered the lady.

I did not bring the other NOAs and it was fine because the information that they needed are in the appointment letter. My appointment letter was given back to me with the date when it was done and the signature of the officer who took my fingerprint. I think there are different procedure from one USCIS office to another but what is important that we are done with biometrics already. We are praying for those who are still waiting for their appointment.

u know i have a question to all those who had their 1st medical exam (most likely at their home country)

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0004718190aRCRD

based on the above website:

Vaccinations

Q: What are the new vaccination requirements?

The CDC has revised its vaccination requirements. As of July 1, 2008, the following additional vaccinations are required in order to adjust status to legal permanent resident:

*

Rotavirus

Hepatitis A

Meningococcal

Human papillomavirus

Zoster

NOTE: Some of these vaccinations are required for certain age groups only. During the examination with the civil surgeon, he or she will review the vaccination history, and may determine that certain vaccinations are not necessary or not appropriate. Specific information on vaccines, including tables on age-appropriate vaccines and ACIP recommendations, are available at CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) website, accesible in the related links section of this page.

Q: When will the new vaccination requirements become effective?

The new vaccination requirements became effective on July 1, 2008. However, CDC approved a 30 day grace period until August 1, 2008. Therefore, for any medical exam conducted on or after August 1, 2008, the new vaccinations, if appropriate, must be administered in order for USCIS to approve the applicant for adjustment of status.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

so this pertains for AOS applicants correct? my question is, if you had your 1st shots of vaccination in your home country as a requirement for K visa on or after August 2008 and you submitted your AOS january 2009, will you be now under the new vaccination guidelines or will still be under the previous vaccination requrements??

P.S. can somebody give a link or maybe somebody knows what are the required vaccination before it has been revised?

im asking this topic cus i read one post here that after she had her interview this February 2009, she was asked to sent a I-693 and the vaccination supplement eventhough her 1st medical exam for K visa happened April of 2008. ( i thought it is valid for a yr?) actually i had my medical exam in the PI July 2008 and to be sure, eventhough uscis said theres no need for K visa holders to redo a medical exam upon submission of aos, i went to a cs november 2008 and had a new full medical exam.
