I could be wrong, but I believe this is the standard message you get when there is any problem at all (a missing signature, photos don't meet standards, etc.). When you get the letter, it will tell you exactly what needs to be sent in, which hopefully will be quick and easy and won't have anything to do with proving you've met in the past two years!

Good luck :)

wait for the RFE letter, and send them EXACTLY what they want and when they get it and inspect it you should be an approval shortly... RFE is sometimes a good thing because you know they still have your petition and is working on it. Good Luck!

I received the same email regarding an RFE on Dec. 29, 2008. You just have to wait until you get the letter by postal mail to find out what exactly it is that they are asking for. RFE's are almost always followed shortly by NOA2's. They are just waiting on the additional evidence to determine approval. Meanwhile, you can browse through the pinned RFE thread and then later post there what it is that they are asking for once you know.

Good luck!

It could be, and often is, something as simple as a missed checked box. Did you send passport stamps proving your travels or just copies of your itinerary? They need clear and evident proof that you have met in person within the last two years. Pictures are only secondary evidence as I could put you with anyone at anytime with photoshop. ;)

You have no choice but to wait for it but hopefully, once you send back what it is they are asking for, an approval will be just around the corner. :) good luck!

moving to filing and progress reports....

You got some good advice from the other who responded but there is no action you can take until you get the letter saying what they are asking for.

It would be nice though if USCIS would put what is requested in the email to so you could respond faster, just a thought.

Good Luck and most cases start back up quicly and get Noa2 not long after the RFE.

Happy New Year and Good Luck

On Dec 29, 08 I received the email notice for RFE, then on Jan 02, 08 I got the letter in the mail...it was simply for two questions in Part C, regarding IMBRA...I sent it right back on the same day....don't worry, your RFE will probably be for something you overlooked, not anything to worry about. And the good news is that an RFE means that they are working on your case and approval follows shorty after RFE.

For my fellow RFE recipients... when you got the physical letter from the USCIS, did anyone else receive this comment?

"From the date this office receives your resubmission, a minimum of 14 days will be required to process your form. If you have not heard from us within 60 days, you may contact the USCIS...."

Just wondering what the min of 14 days is all about, especially considering that many people talk about getting the app approved within a few days after submitting the info needed for the RFE.

Finally I received this email from USCIS.
