Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 12, 2009
Embassy Review : The American embassy in Manila proved to be VERY organized much to our surprise! They were right on schedule with our appointment, and even had a children's area for the kids to play while we waited (there is even a vendor there to buy them snacks! ) The staff was very helpful (even the guards) and when our number was finally called to be interviewed, the consular officer was VERY nice to us- he brought the whole family in first and met us all, then had all of us wait outside the interview room while he talked to my fiancee alone. At that point, he just reviewed the petition, asked her what my job was in the US, was I married before, did I have other children, and where do the children live now.... then he said "OK, I don't have any more questions for you because the information in your petition packet is very thorough and organized.... your visa is APPROVED!!!!!" Thank you God we are so happy with our new life in the US!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
