The 2009 United Kingdom Interview Thread!

Just got in 30mins ago, what a long day that was after getting up at 3:30am! I am pleased to say we are approved pending medical results and copy of co-sponsors Birth certificate (Prove US citizenship). We didn't get the certificate in time, so instead we took a copy of the driving licence and receipt of purchase for the birth certificate. Alas this still wasn't sufficient but I'm not downhearted we've cleared all the other major obstacles and its nothing a quick scan, print and Courier delivery will solve.

I'm not going into detail of the whole day including the medical right now because I'm shattered but I will post a full account after a good night's rest....oh and the Receptionist at Bentinck Mansions was surprisingly in a good mood today

Just got off the phone with Knightsbridge and my medical was approved at last! I am over the moon right now, really can't believe how good that is. Just waiting for packet 4 now, endless wait! Good luck to everyone with interviews coming up!

Pat's visa was delivered this morning. Two business days. Looks like the embassy has sorted out their delay issues.

Good Morning!!

Just wanted to say congrats to Bob and Patricia!! Congrats also to JimandChristy and krystiandjon Well done to The Sams' on their medical approval!!

I will post a review of POW Detroit once I get my breath back, but it was pretty straight forward. I made sure I had plenty of time between landing in and flying out of Detroit again, so it was pretty stress free!

I waited in a line with about 6 people in front of me - 15 minute wait maximum. I did check to see if I should be in Line 37 as per some posts I've read re POE Detroit, but was directed to Line 31 - one of the normal visitor lines.

The Officer had a quick browse through my paperwork and then I was asked two questions. Where in the USA will you be living and when are you getting married? Then he did the fingerprint and retinal scan and I was done!! The whole experience took 20 minutes - including waiting time - WONDERFUL!! I got the "Welcome to America" as well, which was nice ....

Customs was straightforward too - apart from struggling with two enormous suitcases and my carry on luggage!!

All flights were through KLM/NWA and I couldn't fault them .....

I spent a long weekend in Rapid City SD, so I'm only just unpacking this morning. I hardly got my foot in the door on Thursday night and we were on the road again! His nephew's High School Graduation, Mount Rushmore and the Badlands were amazing though - so the rush was all worthwhile .......

Nik checked with Knightsbridge, and they sent on the medical on the 29th, so looks like it'll get in there JUST in time for a straight up approval with no conditions!

Great to hear all these other mostly good newses, get 'em used to saying yes! YAY for both of our approvals so far!

I'm a little surprised that I'm not feeling nervous as of yet, being back here in the States. I think it's due to Visa Journey, I feel as though we are knowledgeable and well prepared.
