HELLO! I AM GOING TO SEE MY FIANCE NEXT MONTH AND IM PLANNING TO SUBMIT THE WHOLE PACKAGE WHILE IM THERE BECAUSE IM PLANNING TO STAY A LITTLE BIT LONGER TO SPEND SOMETIME WITH HIM,I HAVE ALL THE NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS THAT I NEED INCLUDING 4 CERTIFIED COPIES OF MY DIVORCE DECREE WHICH WILL BE EFFECTIVE FEB. 2, 2009, I AM PLANNING TO SEND THE PACKAGE AROUND FEBRUARY 10.

POTENTIAL RED FLAG:

US divorce followed very quickly by an engagement to foreign beneficiary is often a red flag for consular officers.

AM I OK TO FILE FEBRUARY 10?WILL I RAISE A RED FLAG?

IM PLANNING TO COME BACK ALSO AT THE TIME OF HIS INTERVIEW.PLEASE HELP!HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

For your fiancee letter of intent, detail your evolution of relationship starting with how and when you met your fiancee, and details about your current divorce.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

But you are from Canada. Since Phillipines embassy sees a lot more fraud than a Canadian one, same things dont apply

Only if it was the Philippine getting divorced not the US citizen.

I mailed Claudeth's petition the day after my divorce was final and didn't have any problems with any part of the process.

I knew my fiancé wayback highschool we were classmates in senior but never get the chance to be close friends..after highschool I never heard from him.. I married my ex husband and been staying here..he divorced me last july but we were separated since january of this year.last september I got an invitation to be his friend at friendster.com,since then we started talking regularly and we found out that we have so many things in common..we realized that we are falling for each other..we talked regularly over the Internet and we do webcamera as well..I'm planning to visit him this january and spend 6weeks with him..I wanna be with him on his bday(January)and at the same time we will celebrate our first valentine's day together..we are both very excited..he has plan a lot of things..he made some bookings also.he said he will make sure I will make the most of my stay with him..:) I never thought that he's my soulmate...my former classmate..:)

In higher fraud Countries anything can send up a red flag and cause more scrutiny at the visa interview stage. This includes recent divorce, short courtship, limited visits...etc.

Nobody can tell you if this in itself is going to cause a problem but it's certainly in your best interest to provide all the proof of a bona-fide relationship that you can.

It can be red flag even in low-fraud consulates -- I got asked for an affadavit by the London folks stating how and when my first marriage broke down, and when I met second husband in that continuum. I had gotten remarried 12 days after my divorce was finalised, but I had been separated from my ex for nearly 2 years at that point. Be ready to answer any questions on this, no matter which consulate you're going through.
