Life isn't fair, but that doesn't mean we can't complain about it if we want or need to do so. Laura, I appreciate your post- I don't think it's fair my little daughter named Rosie died when she was aged 2 from neuroblastoma when I now work as a social worker in a nursing home watching 100 year old people with dementia live.

It never bothers me when I read posts on people complaining about the visa process or how unfair they think it is- what bothers me are the self- righteous jerks on this site who band together and slam people for having a much needed whinge about how they are feeling.

If we didn't express ourselves, then problems arrise don't they? I didn't want to come on here and spill my sons story because he personally doesn't like ppl doting on him, and gets red in the face when ppl bring attention to him. I am sorry to here about your loss. I know it isn't easy. My father in law has taken over the role as my father and has often said that he is surprised at how I never give up. Life is too short to sit here and feel self pity and to be down all the time. But I do believe that sometimes you do need to let your stress out. There is a difference between venting and just being needy and dependant on others. I am very grateful for the support and the help that I have gotten from here. I posted on another thread how I let someone from here get to me with her situation and I guess that is why I did end up sharing about my son. I felt that I need to explain myself once again, but for once I don't feel as if it was a bad thing. If my son could see the support on here, I am sure that he would be grateful too. Afterall, he needs his mommy to be strong like him and if this forum helps his mommy to get herself and his new step dad back to him sooner rather than later, then by all means...I am going to ask away and vent away..

Don't let ppl get to you shaky, it isn't worth the time or hassle.

EXACTLY! It's NOT FAIR that I get told to "BUCK UP" by members when I mention I'm tired of waiting for this visa when I've been away from my fiance for almost a year now when they were only separated for a few months. (Sorry....that's my rant because IT'S NOT FAIR) :P

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Yes, it would... especially since we're not sure what sort of travel plans he should make now... he's here with me for 2 more weeks... and then what??? Come back at the end of summer? And again over the holidays? No idea... sigh.

I get annoyed by people like you who started this thread. We have a right to complain. In my instance is it fair i havent been able to work since i moved over in march. Is that fair? I have a family to support. Is it fair we have to survive on my wifes wages. I dont think so. Im sorry if you think im been unfair, im just stressed and annoyed that i cannot work and finally start our new american life together.

The people i feel sorry for are those who are forced to live apart from their partners for 6 months or so. So let people complain.

I guess those that don't like complaining should take a moment to think before they feel like having a whinge... :P;)

I DO think there is a difference between someone who needs to vent and someone who ONLY moans about their plight and how much more difficult their situation is compared to every other poster...but I think they are few and far between here on VJ. And I tend to stay away from those threads anyway... I guess that's the best in this environment....stay away from the threads that get on your nerves. LOL

 glad you said "nap" after that "wee":P
