Wow what a surprise in my mail box after a bad day at work. 2 letters...one from Vermont (129F approval!) and another from the NVC that said they received the petition and will forward to Manila in 1 week. it still has not sunk in but it will shortly.

NO email notifications...............

NO email updates..................

Actually the USCIS website has our petition as received and pending, yep it has been saying that since 23 Dec 08. If the USCIS is not going to use the email or website updates to keep us (THEIR CUSTOMER) informed on our progress, why have it in the first place? Hey congress, how much are we spending on a broken website? Oh yeah you busy spending OUR money on a broken car company. Sorry

Anyway I wish everyone a fast approval.

Thanks for the info. I have kinda lost hope that I will be receiving an email too. I just keep looking in my mail box each day.

Supposedly, my case was assigned to an officer on June 3. That is 2 days after my Senator made his inquiry (and the day before my Infopass appointment), so perhaps that jarred something.

But then again, the info I get is different every time I call.

last Thursday: "Your case is where it's supposed to be"

last Friday: "Your case is assigned to an officer"

Yesterday: "Your case hasn't been assigned to an officer yet. I don't know why anyone would tell you that."

Today: "Your case was assigned to an officer on June 3"

Tomorrow: Who knows!

Note that they never volunteered any of this info. They read the scripted responses and only after gently pushing can I get more info.

Good Lord! I read yesterday about the "Your case hasn't been assigned ..I don't know why they would tell you that"

Now it has? Man....these people are nuts. Is lying and BS stories part of their hiring process?

I don't bother to call them now. But my congressmans office said my case is with an officer. We'll see. But if I get so desperate as to call USCIS again, I'm just going to ask for the 129f supervisor!

I hope a supervisor can be more helpful than the general "question answerer" at USCIS. I called on 6 June to inquire about my petition and was told it "has been received and will be processed in order received......." bla bla bla. Imagine my surprise when on the 8th June I receive an approval notice dated 2 JUNE!

2 things that I found not worth checking.

1. checking the online status. Mine is still listed as received. It has been approved for 9 days now and in my hands for 3.

2. Calling the customer (un) service helpline and asking for any question closely related to your immigration petitions. It is obvious these people there do not have access to the "real" status.

I never asked for a supervisor, it is possible (insert smart-#### remark here) they have access to better info.

To all of you still waiting on your Noa2's, I really hope you get them soon. I can't even begin to imagine how frustrating that must be for you and you all seem so sane about the whole thing. I would be ripping out my hair :/ Hang in there guys. You can do this. You are almost there.

For everyone gearing up for your interviews, are you freaking out yet? I know my fiance's interview is on the 16th but up until last night I thought the 16th was Weds lol. When I realized we had one less day left, I went into panic mode. Up until then I was mostly trying to ignore it because it's too damn freaky to know that our entire futures are riding on that single day (or at least the start of it). It's overwhelming. Why does this feel so much like getting ready to finally give birth? :bonk: Who's water will break first?!? Lucky, lucky person.

Now it's almost here and I am so ready for it to be done with. How far are you guys in preparing? Is there anything left to do? Is anyone having their interview before us? I can't wait to hear some stories here!

I've been ready for the interview for months. Matter of fact, I'd better get some of those documents again, since they'll be so old by the time the interview actually happens...

I've even filled out as much of the AOS paperwork as I can, while we're apart, so that when he does get here, I won't have as much paperwork to do.

Hey Xaenyth, so nice to see you again.

My interview is 22 June, so I've started counting days. I've been ready for a while now. Im slowly starting to get anxious while my fiance is as cool as a cucumber, but maybe it's a good thing... no use us both freaking out.

Haha, I like your comparison of getting ready to finally give birth, I think you're spot on there.

Best of luck with your fiance's interview on TUESDAY ;) Celebrate well, then report back on how it went.

Hi everyone. Just checking in also, no new update yet. I'm trying not to be on VJ so much not. To lessen my sanity. It's getting insane. I've even picked up a second job, just to make the time go by faster. I still haven't got my interview date, we are still waiting on the embassy to reply to our many, many, emails. I dont want to push them too hard and get on their bad side  My lawyer has emailed them, i've emailed them and my fiance has emailed them and still no reponse. When my fiance called them they told us to send an email to schedule for the interview, but still no interview date. Aaahhh, i can't wait for all this to be over with. To all those that are moving towards the interview and POE best of luck to you guys. Keep us posted.

Jim & AD, you got a second job to pass time... I bought a new computer yesterday, and will get Sims 3 for it. That'll definitely consume me for a few weeks & take my mind off this visa process.

Unless I decide to create a family and pretend they're going through the Visa process. I can have another house in the neighborhood for USCIS, but they will be slow to respond to anyone who calls them, and will tell lies a lot.

I feel bad laughing at this comment, because you are goign through such a terrible time with USCIS, but that was so darn funny. Let me know how Sims 3 is, I thought about playing my old Sims games again LOL .

I know what you mean NAT. I love SIM games. I used to play SIM house party and pets alot. Then i got tired of it. Yah i need something that will keep me moving though especially out the house. So since the way this economy is going i figure i can always use some extra cash for those expensive phone calls to Africa and wedding planning. :)
