Thanks for the birthday wishes, guys & gals! You're all so sweet.

You know, I don't know your name but I have been reading your post for a couple months now and I have never participated in these chats since I have registered. But like I said, I have been watching your progress and I just felt like I needed to tell you to hold on and that I am praying for your approval soon as I pray for mine also. God Bless You. and Happy B-day!

Thanks, HapyCloud

Did anyone know that if you try to check the USCIS website too many times in a short period, it doesn't let you on for a while? I experience this almost daily.

Yours is coming NatPatBen. It will be any day now. This is the hardest part, but you can do it! Just hang in there. We didn't get our second Noa until we were in the 140's and I felt like I was the last one on the planet. It's coming!

WOW this is different, so I got the hard copy of the NOA2 yesterday, and the case has been forwarded directly to the Manila Embassy. Skipping the National visa center, has this happened to anyone else?? I called the embassy and they do not have record of the petition, I called the national visa center and they said because it states that it is going to the embassy they will not get a record of the petition. How will I track it? It doesn’t appear to be following the time line for the K-1 visa…

Also has anyone ever had to deal with an employer who does not fill out letters of employment and instead uses the theworknumber.com for verification of employment? I ask this because my current employer is in this boat. This adds another non linear expectation to this process. I spoke with the embassy (yay 18$ phone call) and the lady mentioned that I may write a letter and submit it with my I-134 and explain the situation. All my current employer will state is that I am an employee with them; I can give pay stubs which they can deduce my income from that potentially.

I am sweating bullets now, am I in a world of hurt, should I be panicking? Anyone have any insight?

Its appreciated

Thank you

Joshua

My job uses that a work line thing for verification. I didn't give them a chance to say no. I wrote a letter to the HR people and told them exactly what I needed, word for word. I told them a phone number wasn't going to be good enough as it was for immigration purposes and I sent it off fully expecting to be told no haha. To my surprise, I got a letter with exactly what I asked for - even the extra copy. Prior to sending it I had whined to my direct supervisor about that problem and she was willing to write something up for me if the HR department fell through. Worst case, I was going to write and sign my own letter and have it notarized and hope for the best. Good luck.

I don't have any insight on your issue with the petition, but I swear I saw a post earlier in the K1 forum that someone was having the same issue. You might want to search there. It was just today or yesterday.

Cool im going to check it out - i just got off the phone with Lorane at the manila embassy and she swears up and down it will go to the NVC. she even referred me to come to this site to read up on how the visa process works

well we ended the conversation with a alternative to the letter from employer and agreed to touch face again next thursday or friday. im going to call the uscis tomorrow and see if they can tell me where my i-129f has gone to, and the NVC. but all things said it is still early for nvc to have recieved it. so  maybe by mid next week someone might know whats going on.

I had a similar experience when trying to get my job to send me proof of income. When requesting it online, I'd just get proof of employment, but when I called HR and said exactly what I needed, they faxed me proof of income. Sometimes, contacting them directly works better than going through some automated route (such as their website).

Joshua, have you checked out Skype recently? The dropped a sweet iPhone app and added half a dozen new countries for unlimited calling at 6 bucks a month. They just added Colombia and I'm saving beaucoup cash! It's worth taking a look.

And good luck with tracking your petition. I bet it'll go to NVC afterall.

Hey Joshua, I just saw your response to a post on the K1 forum. After looking at your Noa2, I pulled mine out, and its exactly what mine said. When I got it I just assumed it meant via NVC and never thought twice about it. Ours did in fact go to NVC and was there within a few days. It was there for 2 days and was sent to the consulate in Rio. So I would just keep calling NVC until they tell you they've gotten your petition.
