I just spoke with Vermont. Finally I heard a good news. They resumed processing K1's, my case was

picked up by an officer last week (before they kept telling me that my petition was in security checks only).

She asked me If I submited any papers about criminal records with my petition, and I told her that it was

not required at that time. It's funny that she was telling me that everything is explained on their website

regarding this new law. So she told me, that she does not know if officer will be requesting any additional

papers from me after the review of my case.

I hope that that's true and not just more USCIS disinformation / ignorance.

Call 1-800-375-5283. Select 1->2->6->1 and enter you receipt number (EAC...). Listen to your case status

to the very end and then select 3->2->1 and you will hear that you've been connected to the Vemont

service center. I posted this methode many times, but for some reason other people were saying, they

could not get to Vemont like that, but I've been calling them almost every week for the last 2 months.

Igor Brukker,

I've tried you method exactly as you have posted it. The call did not go to the Vermont Service Center, it went to the National Customer Service Center.

Igor Brukker,

I'd be very surprised if the phone system were 'intelligent' enough to be able to route calls based on that distinction.

Yodrak

May be this method only works for petitions that haven't been approved yet.

I called the number this evening--- knowing that if I was to be speaking to Vermont the office would be closed. I did all the steps exactly as mentioned in Igors post --- I typed in our I-601 Waiver Receipt number EAD and the recorded response I was given was, "Your I-601 Waiver application was received at our office on April 7th, and that cases such as this are taking between 30 to 90 days to process."

I believe that the recording is proof enough that I was actually reaching Vermont, case in point --- We are going through the Vancouver Consulate and Vancouver sends all I-601s to Vermont to be processed. So, it appears that the phone system is pretty intelligent afterall. I am going to try again tomorrow to see if I can get a live person to verbally verify the Vermont aspect of this --- if this is true, at least it gives those of us with Waivers through Vermont some hope of getting some status --- I say, with all the downer news out there and the fact that so many on here are so totally frustrated and stressed over not getting any news or hope of news that imformation like this that can give hope and a number to contact really cheer a good lot of us up...

Thanks soo much Igor,

---Most days end sad knowing one more day has passed that I am not in the company of my loving husband --- loving from a distance is just #######!!!
