I am so depressed, I forced my Father to go to the registerars office today and after waiting the whole day at the damn office he was told that the Civil surgon had take the day off......No sign of the DOB certificate.......

I wish I had done this before......One stupid mistake on my part and now I am in soup......

Hope can vent my frustation here

I am super happy for you.....Its great that you got a feb date,

This gives me hope....Even If I get a case complete by Jan 22nd ( assuming I get the certificate by Monday Januray 13th) I might land up with an early April Interview date..........

let this be known that NVC AVR does NOT update every Thursday as previously reported. I found out through an operator that my case has an interview date and is shipped to India, but the AVR does not reflect this change today.

for those who can't get IIN over the phone, don't sweat it. Look at my time line. You can still go through NVC under 20 days if you wait for the IIN to come via the post. Make sure everything needed for AOS and IV package is fully prepared, once you get the IIN in the post, pay it online and it will be acknowledged in about 1 business day. Be prepared for it to be acknowledged in 1 day and have your documents ready to be sent out as soon as the status changes to 'PAID'.

I called today and I was told that a review by a supervisor was requested for our AOS and IV documents. Can anyone tell me what that means? I was told the department that normally checks the documents didn't even look at it and that a review from a supervisor was requested.

SankuNiku

Have you called NVC to see if they have completed your case? I called so many times.... and they keep on saying to wait 2 to 4 weeks for reveiw.

They still have not completed it. I called this morning, operator told me that it's in the process of being completed, and that I should check in tomorrow. I did not totally understand her explanation but she said it the NVC still has to completely process the payment of the AOS. From what it sounds even though I paid the AOS fee, it looks like they need to get the funds transferred from somewhere to them.

I will call again tonight.

okay i just learned through the AVR that my DS3032/AOS fee were generated on monday! i'm not sure why the operator couldn't tell me that yesterday. anyway, at this point i am just going to wait for the IIN in the mail since hopefully it should come in the next day or two...

but as for the DS3032- has everyone been making their own bar code? i feel like somewhere i read that people were just writing in their number by hand. i'm nervous about making the bar code- and it's time for work so handwriting would be so much faster (yes i know i should have done this while i had 10 days to wait for it to be generated)- but i also don't want to get slowed down for not having done it properly.

advice? experience? thanks everyone.

aba anoma - creating the bar code and sticking it on the DS-3032 takes like 5 minutes. i glued the bar code in the box and just wrote down my NVC and USCIS case number at the very top.

yeah i just looked at the instructions again and they have definitely been simplified since the last time i checked it out. so i'll do that. thanks.

i had been under the impression that the bar code would include the NVC case number (ie the lines plus the case number would be where the typical product number goes underneath)- but per the instructions it looks like we're just making a barcode and then manually writing in the case number underneath...yes?

What I found out from my own experience is that before the AVR updated, you can get your case number from the operator. I have been checking and checking the AVR with no change. Yesterday, 1/7/09, I spoke with the operator and he told me my case number and also said that DS3032 and AOS bill were generated and mailed on 1/6/09. My case number was created on 1/5/09. I called the AVR just a few minutes ago, and it has all the information what the operator told me. So what I am trying to say is that you could get your case number and the status of DS3032 and AOS from the operator in 5 or 6 days time before the AVR was updated which helps in sending the e-mail of DS3032 right away. On the other hand, I called to get my IIN with no luck at all. Good Luck All.

The barcode will include the case number at the bottom. There is an option to not show the case # but don't select that option. Just follow the instructions and you will have a correct barcode.
