Hey all you English folk, just a quick question.

Im preparing to go to the police station with my filled out application form and my check for 10 pound to receive my police certificate, i have just read that they dont receive this kind anymore at the Embassy and now the appropiate police certificate now costs 35-70 pound. What the hell is all that about? Oh, and i was informed to take 2 pieces of I.D. im going to take my short birth certificate and my drivers license, i have also read on here that 2 passport pics are required, i do not see this on the instruction page the police woman gave me, so i dont know what to believe right now.

Can someone please enlighten me about this. I am a couple of months away from actually needing the certificate, but i want everything in my posession and organised as soon as i can. Which im sure all you guys want to do.

I just found the information for my fiance on the police certificate and was also surprised that it cost more . I told him it was only 10 and when he read it he told me I was wrong.. ooops.. so he is going to do it this week so that it will get back soon. For the lower price it said 10 days so I think that is the way he is going to go.
