I-129F? Can I fill it out prior to my NOA1 arriving?

Hi all!

I know this is a stupid question. i was wondering if I could fill out my I-129F before my NOA1 from arriving. Thing is my wife sent me her G-425A signed and dated November 1, 2008. That means that I should have my I-129F dated in November as well. If I date I-129F with December, wouldn't that mean that I would have to have my wife fill out a new G-425A with a December date?

Is it ok to date the I-129F in November even if I will probably be sending it out in December? I don't know if DHS cares about the dates but I want to be safe than sorry.

Advance apologies if this doesn't make sense.

Yes, fill it out. :)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I thought there was a magnetic key in both the I-129F and NOA1, so that if one was not in the proximity of the other when pen is put to paper the form burns. This also works if heat from a printing device is applied to the I-129F when no NOA1 is in proximity.

Ok, just joking. Of course you can fill out teh I-129F and date it whenever you're ready. This is a non-issue.
