Congratulations to all of you whose case is going well!

I believe my case is lost and the USCIS or the congressman would only help me once the Processing dates (5 months) posted in the USCIS website have passed. My NOA is from Nov. 14th 2008, so I wonder when the 5 months start counting. I am really surprised because my biometrics appointment reached very quick but after that I got nothing else; it is already 4 months and I see most of the November filers getting done and I keep on looking for the letter in the mail and I don't know what to do.

k1spain, Have you contacted USCIS and tslked to s level 2 IO (imigration officer)? If so what was the result?

Here is my Citizenship Timeline:

November 24, 2008 > Application Filed at TSC via United States Postal Service (day 0)

November 26, 2008 > Application delivered to TSC. Confirm by Postal Service (day 2)

December 04, 2008 > Check Cashed (day 9)

December 08, 2008 > NOA 1 in Mail / Case tranferred to National Benefit Center (day 14)

December 15, 2008 > Biometric appointment letter in mail (day 21 )

January 6, 2009 > Biometric appointment (day 43)

February 5, 2009 > Interview appointment letter in the mail (day 74)

March 26, 2009 > Interview date (day 121)

April 6, 2009 > Oath letter in mail (day 132)

April 17, 2009 > Oath ceremony (day 143 )

April 17, 2009 > I am a US Citizen now!!!

April 20, 2009 > Applied for my US passport via USPS Expedite service and mail my voter's registration card application

Hello everyone. My husband is now a United States Citizen. We arrived for the oath ceremony about 11:30, scheduled for 1 p.m. I enjoyed the ceremony so much. I admire the way the judge spoke along with those guests present. There were 48 new citizens, ranging from age 24 to age 81. Each one stood and said "good afternoon Your Honor, My name is ...... and I am from........ I only wish many had spoken up because I found learning where each was from was so nice. In the process we heard one other woman say she was from Morocco so my husband made sure we went to congratulate her before she got away. Afterwards they had punch and cake. It was a beautiful day in Columbus, Ohio. We have finished our visa journey and it couldn't have ended in a nicer way. Thank you and everyone here on VJ for their support the last few years. Our best to each of you. I know I'll be checking back in when I can to cheer the rest of you on.

Good Luck Always

Quick update...

I moved to NJ 2 weeks ago for work so I submitted the AR11 and had an info pass appt. this morning. I was advised my case is still at NBC and hadn't been sent to NY yet so I should expect an interview letter within the next few weeks, and I'll be scheduled at the Mount Laurel office.

Congrats to those who have recently passed and good luck to those scheduled. :D

My interview date was on March 17th, downtown Chicago. The officer started with the test right away and i was asked 6 questions, then i had to read a simple phraze and write down on a piece of paper "Washington is on the dollar bill." I was surprised he started out with the test, but he wanted to get that out of the way and then take a look at my paperwork. He was impressed with the amount of paperwork i had with me(though to me it didn't seem much) and said that not too many people he interviewed so far were as prepared as i was  . I want to thank all of you for writing here, sharing your experiences! It helped so much!

My interview took about 20 minutes and then i was congratulated and given the Oath day on March 26th.
