My AoS is at the CSC. When I go to "Processing Times" here in VJ and open up CSC I don't see any I-485 except for Employment, does anybody know how to check where the CSC is in terms of processing AoS for couples that have gone through the K-1 Visa process?

thanks

As far as I know, timelines for family-based 485's at CSC are not available.

Since it has been more than 6 months since you applied, you may be able to do a service request or Infopass to get an update on your case status.

Thanks so much for your reply. if my receipt is dated May 3rd, it would be six months already; however my case was transferred to the CSC on June 9th. Should I go by the May 3rd date or June 9th?

thanks again, hope to get your reply soon

May 3rd, the clock doesn't start over when you get transferred, it's part of the same process.

The immigration officer we spoke with today indicates that we should "wait 45 days" apparently this is due to where the CSC is now (i.e. they are working on late March cases)...do you think this is correct? my wife want to wait but to me this makes little sense given then fact that many other couples have been awarded their cards from the CSC without incurring in our wait

I would not believe anything immigration tells you about timelines. There are background checks, things being "misplaced", missing douments, lazy adjudicators, etc. that hold up some applications, so they don't approve everything in the order received. This is why some people after you have been approved. My wife applied in late July, was transferred to CSC in late August, and we expect her greencard this month. But who knows.

it took us about 8 months total from late september 2007 to early june 2008, but we had a RFE for a translation of a birth certificate.

it also was transferred to CSC, the transfer will not delay or restart the waiting time.

hang in there.

The transfer by design is intended to improve the processing time versus waiting for the local office to do it...

YMMV

I have had similar information from CSC about my AOS. We filled May 22nd so we're coming up on 6 months. I'm going to call November 24th to see if I can file a process request. I really want my green card before Xmas so I would be eligible for federal student loans. Fingers crossed but who knows!
