I am wondering if other users have had the same experience.... I received my I-797 Notice of Action on October 10th with the request to show up for our AOS interview on November 12th. So far so good. Surprisingly, this doesn't show up in my Case Status on the CRIS website. In fact, none of the related applications I-130 and I-485 were even touched since they were first received by USCIS. If the I-797 had been lost in the mail I wouldn't even know this interview was already scheduled or a letter had been mailed. I can hardly believe this is how it is supposed to work!

It is not unusual. The interview would not show up online. I had the same experience. I was scheduled for my interview and neither my I-485 or I-130 were touched, I just received the NOA in the mail.

Good luck with your interview!

I wouldn't worry about it - I think it's normal.

I had no updates/touches showing since I changed my address in August until today. And the message never changed from February until today. I don't know if anyone has seen the interview notice online, perhaps some have seen a touch, but no notice of interview mailed. My status did not show that they'd sent the welcome letter which was sent last week, 2 days before the date 'Card Production Ordered'.

We have received EAD and Green Card, but the case status online is still showing the cases as "received and pending." We never received any email from CRIS, and the last updated date is from before the biometrics. So it appears that the case status online is not working for some people for whatever reasons. Best luck with your interview!

I totally agree with how this system is supposed to work, but it is not happening.

We have been checking daily on USCIS' website for touches/updates.

We have not received any touches even.

Then an interview letter shows up in the mailbox 2 weeks ago.

If that I-797 did get misplaced or stolen, we would not have any idea of the upcomming interview.

Thanks for these insightful replies. It seems the CRIS system is more experimental than really meant to support the applicant with information about the current status. As the Interview Notice is the most important notice they could send you (if the notice gets lost and you don't show up, your application is automatically denied) I can't understand why the fact that they sent you this notice doesn't show up. I can just hope this didn't happen to anyone before and he or she got denied just because of that.

Anyway, as I have received the notice I'm going to focus on the preparation of our paperwork for the upcoming interview and hope to be able to tell you that I got approved in 8 days from today....

Good luck to all!

Interviews are scheduled by district offices or by consulates (depending on what petition we are talking about here). Neither one are tied into the online system, so no, an interview date will not show up online.
