Gov. Ed Rendell Friday said the presidential race between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain is "closer than the polls indicate." Urging people to get out and vote in Tuesday's general election, Rendell said Obama does not have a double-digit lead in Pennsylvania and he told voters to take an umbrella and dress warmly to withstand the weather.

"Stay in that line and make sure you vote," Rendell told about 50 people at Wilkes University. "I've seen polls that have the race as close as four points."

Rendell also said the addition of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to the Republican ticket has "enthused" the campaign.

The writing is on the wall, Charles. The Republicans aren't going to give up control of the White House to a socialist wannabe Muslim with terrorist ties. Obama has been exposed and the GOP will be victorious once again. Only they can get us out of the mess they've got us in.

Of course, people have to get out and vote. You'll hear a lot of this type comments over the next few days - as you have over the last week or two. The greatest challenge the front runner has is to get out the vote. That's what is happening here. I think they'll do just fine. Obama's ground operation in FL, for example, has doubled from 100K to 200K volunteers to get people to the polls. McSame isn't going to make it to 270. Not even close.

A fruit fly is doing better than Obama. That guy hasn't a chance against the Republican Smear Machine now that it's in full force. Voters will vote for the candidate they are least afraid of. It's all psychological...just like our economic woes.
