I was expecting to be banned after I posted a nasty comment in a thread that was offensive to us Filipinas. I received a PM from a Moderator (she was nice and very objective) which said that she did not see any reason that I should receive a ban right now. However, I was also advised to please stop perpetuating the issue.

I reported the offensive post that prompted me to make a nasty comment and it was immediately removed by the Mods. Other racially motivated posts were also removed from that thread.

May I request beautiful ladies that from hereon, when you see a post that is offensive to the Filipina, PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND. Instead, report the poster immediately by clicking on their VJ name. A pull down menu will appear, then click "Report Member".

I am sure that eventually the attacks will stop if we are VIGILANT in reporting the offenders.

Thank you for your cooperation. Mabuhay ang mga Pinay!

p.s. I shed off my Gabriela Silang persona and bolo at balik na sa pagiging Demi Moore (demure).

Thanks for your post, Pinay Wife. The mod team appreciates this effort to make peace.

I'd like to clarify the reporting process a bit. What you described above does not send a report on the offensive post. Rather, it's a general way to gather feedback about certain members. While useful to the mod team, reporting a member in such a way would not prompt any investigation into specific posts.

The basic way to report a post would be to use the Report button at the bottom left corner of every post. This sends a report directly to Captain Ewok (note that mods do not receive these reports).

As he is not online as often as the other mods, it's generally preferable to PM a mod directly with a link to the post in question. When we are online we do respond to all such PMs sent to us.

Thanks for your cooperation in making Visa Journey a place for all to enjoy! :)

I thought i would be banned too after my posts. I feel happy to know that the moderators of VJ are unbiased and objective. I admit some of my posts got out of hand and i realized that was not the right thing to do. We are all here in VJ to learn and share our experiences about the immigration process. So let's all just get along well. Peace!

Wow! I can write Spanish. Muchas gracias to on-line translation. Some of their translations, however, are not perfect so I'm not sure if above is accurate. From my limited knowledge of Spanish, I can say that it is. ¿USTED piensa tan también, Besame?

This is good news. I can only wish that some members would also stop attacking other nationalities and making fun of them. This kind of behaviour is very typical of some members here who have numerous accounts and actually find satisfaction in starting " fights". But, I know this is an "impossible dream" because there will always be people who just can't help themselves and think they are "perfect" compared to others.

Pinaywife is right, if we see offensive remarks about us, don't mind it and let it be. I can understand because we are sensitive people and it hurts us to be treated like this but we just can't please everybody and there will always be someone who has a negative word against us as a race. It is sad but its also reality.

Godbless us all at mabuhay po tayong mga pilipino.

There were many very good VJ members who left because of what has become of VJ.

Nothing is impossible if we all work together. We can all do our part in cleaning up VJ by reporting all racial slurs and slanderous insults that we come across with even if they are against other races, especially the Mexicans. Hopefully, once the gangsters' comments start vanishing, they will decide it's no longer fun to be here and they themselves will start disappearing. The gangsters thrive on insults ~ the more they are fed, the more evil and despicable they become.

So ladies, I hope you are with me on this. We can fight with dignity. Let us start reporting.

Good day/evening to all the Pinays/Pinoys (isama naman natin mga lalake)... :) The whole stunt that someone pulled in order to start a war was something very indicative of a weak person. Hurt, as we were, we REACTED.

Lessons learned: Be proactive and not reactive. Go ahead and report it right away.

Notes, to the mods. I did send a report right away and in fact someone who was a moderator, as well, enjoyed the whole fight. He didn't do a thing. He played along and that is very, very, very uncalled for. Whatever happened to "Walk the Talk"?

Anyway, the damage has been done - and that's the saddest part. Let's all be responsible and accountable every time we let go of words. Reflect on how you would possibly take the statement if you were the recipient of the remark.

Thanks!

He said he is an Organizer. I think what he does is to move threads in the proper forum. I feel though that he, as an Organizer, has a responsibility to be objective in the things that he writes here because people usually look up to the Mods and Organizers as persons of authority. As an Organizer, he should be objective, does not add fire to the provocation and does not take sides. His wife also caused a Filipina uprising in the past when the wife posted a nasty comment in a thread. You kinda lose respect for people like that. At any rate, all that is in the past now and is best forgotten. Let go na lang.

Salamat, fish. Haven't seen you in a long time. I was kinda here and there too in VJ. I would pop in every now and then.

I usually try to be respectful of other people's opinion but three years of silence while Filipinas are being bashed is just too much to bear. Kapag napuno ang salop talaga. I did apologize to my countrymen for my actions. I can only hope that something good would come out of this. We should not stop believing that people are innately good.

I very much agree with this  Threads can very easily spiral downwards and words are said on both "sides" that become regrettable.
