Hi Every one,

Ok i have just had my paperwork returned stating that i didnt send the correct fee.

Lemme check as when i checked the website it states :-

Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status I-485 $930 plus a biometrics fee of $80; the fee total is $1,010. Exceptions listed below. There is no fee for applicants who are filing Form I-485 based on having been admitted to the United States as a refugee. Applicants 80 years of age or older are not charged a biometric fee; the fee total is $930. Applicants under 14 years of age: - Filing with the I-485 application of at least one parent have a fee total of $600 - Not filing with the I-485 application of at least one parent have a fee total of $930

so there is me and my 11 year old daughter

i calculated this as $1010 + her 600 giving a total of $1610.

Is it me, or is it them????

check out my time line and dont forget to update yours too :D

I believe, for your child, it would be $600 plus $80 (Biometric fee) or $680. (Filing with parent and being 14 years old and younger.)

I just filed for Rin and her three children in June. Sent $1,010 for her and $600 for each child (ages 7, 9, and 12). Did you send separate checks? Each application should have a separate check; so you should have sent $1,010 for wife and $600 for child.

p.s. we did not pay a biometrics fee for the children, although they still had an appointment. When we went, they did full fingerprints (all 10) and picture of Rin. For children, they did one finger and a picture.

It looks like you sent only one check for $1610. That is it. They want separate payments for each person. I know, it's dumb. It should say so in the instructions....

Resend two checks, for $1010 and $600.

There is NO biometrics fee for children under 14, even though they will be called to biometrics.

Each application eventhough filed in the same envelope is a separate application and requires a separate fee payment....

Consider this, each application is given a discrete case number (which is recorded on the back of the check when deposited). It is not possible for them to put TWO case numbers on the back of ONE check.... Thus rejected.........

YMMV
