Yes you can go to Hawaii. It's the same as going Michigan, but the weather is better.

Done for 3 years or 10 years. Haven't decided yet.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

Keep in mind - you must be legally in the US (which I presume you are) - although it may not be checked directly - there is a chance of being checked since CBP tend to hang around airports.

Note: It's always a good idea for foreign nationals to have proper identification/documentation on them, especially when traveling (for many, this means their passport).

I live in Washington and went with my husband and parents-in-law to spend a couple of days in the San Juan Islands...

on the way back we was told by the people that work in the ferry to no take one of the boats that come from another island near because that one was going to pass in the board office...and so without green card and no valid visa (even I was legal and married and have had started the AOS process) they was not going to let me go to the continent....We wait the other boat to go back home.
