Hello,

I'm a wee bit confused about how much I have to pay and if I need to write separate cheques..

I-130 $355

I-485 and I-765 and biometrics fee $1010

Is this correct and should I make out two cheques for these amounts? I've read conflicting things on these boards..

thanks

The 1010 also includes the I 130 (filing everything at the same time).

And you don`t have to use separate checks.

Just write application fee I 485 and I 765 and and biometrics fee on it

Good luck

The I-130 is not included in the cost of AOS.

The AOS is $1010.00 and includes I-485 AOS I-765 EAD & I-131 Advanced Parole

The I-130 is $355.00 and is used for people doing AOS from something other than a K visa, ie. VWP, B1/B2, F1, J1 etc.

Send 1 check for the AOS $1010.00 and 1 check for the I-130 $355.00

Separate applications require separate fee payment

YMMV

No, it does not. You need 2 separate checks, $1010 and $355.

The $1010 also includes advance parole?

So is it worth applying for that at the same time? I'm not expecting to need to go home, but you never know if someone in the family will have an emergency..what has everyone else done?

Yes, since it's included, why not do it? Like you said, you never know when some kind of emergency will happen at home, or if the greencard is delayed for 2 years (it happens).

You should apply for it.

I read the forms, because I'm currently an H1B I don't need it. However, I'll be out of status as of the end of the year, and I'm assuming it won't be done by then, can I then file for AP when the rest of the case is pending?

the I-131 can be submitted concurrently or anytime after the I-485.

YMMV
