So forgive my ignorance....

how does this affect the paperwork I was hoping to send out by monday of next week?

Is there a new form I need to fill out? Is there something different I need to do?

I am sorry for all you who have been delayed! :(

any help would be lovely!

There is no way to know. If I were in your shoes I would wait a few days to see if there is something new you need to fill out. But that is up to you. Maybe a talk to a well informed lawyer is needed.

I don't want to wait to send mine out. *whine whine* I want to get this show on the road!

I just got engaged on Wednesday (offically) we've been waiting to send the paper work...and now I feel I am on hold!!

Sorry for the whine. I know there are people who are much worse off.

Welp. I am going to watch the K-1 forum like a hawk now!

For those of us who just filed, i call USCIS today. The customer sevrice rep told me that there would be a form sent out regarding the IMBRA thing. She did not tell me how long it will take but said soon. I think i heard her say the new form her being put together this week but i'm not sure i heard her right because she was in so much hurry to get off the phone. :P

I have been trying to call back and get someone else to talk to, so i can see if the other customer rep. knew what she was talking about. She did tell me that she does not not how long it will take but i hope it becomes clearer within a week. I'll call again in the morning. hopefully talk to a different person. but i don't think this should take long. Background check is not hard to check. I work for a law enforcement agency and i know that you can check a background of anybody thru NCIC within 30 minutes. So i don't know why they would be taking forever. A finger print check thru NCIC/TCIC takes no longer than 30 minutes to get a hit back.

Send your paperwork in, I wouldn't wait. "Soon" to the government is even longer than when my mom said "soon" when I was a kid.

I guess I could do that! Just looking for advice that no one has yet. So I guess I will just be as blind as everyone else! I do appreciate it though...

Is there a number sequence to get to a live person? Do you need your receipt number? I called the State Department's visa inquiry number last week and they were clueless. When they told me to call the number above, I could not get to a live person so I gave up. If you give me instructions for how to do it, I will call!!!
