Old Maverick McCain tells it like it is! Says Obama was WRONG in suggesting no connection between Saddam and 9/11.

I've always noticed that McCain seems to be playing with people's mind on the "war on terrorists." I guess he's very old to think clearly anymore. What is he thinking, he's becoming senile.

Linking Sadaam with the stuff that happens in 9/11, and telling the American people that if he's elected he'll capture Osama bin Laden. Well, using this type of logic, I can also infer that because he knows Osama bin Laden whereabouts isn't he obstructing justice by not releasing it to the respective authority? Yes, senile he is.

And, if the American people believe this in the comming elections, I will surely pack my bags and leave the country and probably live in Finland or Japan. This shows me that the American isn't capable of thinking anymore.

The 'good' McCain swore off the idea of using the Rev Wright issue apparantly - I think he's got himself into a rather schyzophrenic position at the moment.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Evidently John McCain must have been asleep when Joe Wilson, sent by the Bush Administration to find a connection to Saddam and yellowcake in Niger (i.e. the smoking gun that he was touting, which turned out to be forged documents), testified before Congress that the Bush Administration refused to hear anything other than "Saddam had been pursuing WMD", even though Wilson only found forged documents and no evidence at all that Saddam was pursuing WMD.

He epitomizes the culture of misinformation and fear to get people to do things he wants. Of course, he's also the type that perpetuates problems, not solves them.

we all remember this, right?

Foreign Secretary Jack Straw says he never saw the controversial "dodgy dossier" about Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction before it was published in February.

Mr Straw said the dossier was an "embarrassment" for the government and was commissioned by Downing Street communications director Alastair Campbell.

He apologised to the student whose thesis was used as the basis of the "dodgy dossier", during questions from the Commons foreign affairs select committee.

Yep - and apparently Campbell and Blair were *not* guilty of "sexing-up the intelligence to support the case for war". Go figure - yet pretty much all the evidence out there points to this being the case.

But no, Bush didn't lie, he merely twisted the truth a little.

These guys should all be in jail.

i found this article on theregister interesting... ;)

A year ago, 10 Downing Street published a dossier on Iraq's security and intelligence organisations. It was cited by none other than Colin Powell in his address to the United Nations. Then a lecturer in politics at Cambridge University discovered that much of the 19-page document was copied from three different articles, one written by a graduate student.

How did he know? In the document there was a listing of the last 10 edits of the document, showing the names of the people who worked on the file. These logs are normally hidden and cannot be viewed directly in Word.

MS Word is notorious for containing private information in file headers, but not any longer. Microsoft has quietly released a tool to scrub leaky metadata from documents edited with its software. The Remove Hidden Data Add-In will permanently remove hidden and collaboration data, such as change tracking and comments, from MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint files.

i liked how tony blair said that god would judge him for the war in iraq... keep taking the happy pills tony...

Tony Blair had rather more religious zeal than the average Brit politician - but he avoided talking about his religious convictions while in office at least for the most part which is just as it should be (appanrantly he didn't want to be labeled a 'nutter' :)). Now he's converted to catholicism which I find interesting as I see it as much more conservative than CofE.

I found it very weird at the last debate when McCain basically said he could solve all the problems in the US...
