If I'm outraged about anything, it's about how the free press has coddled Obama, covered up for him, and sensationalized any criticism of him. As far as I'm concerned, this charge is more of the same. Ho hum.

Nobody gives a healthy $hit what you think.

Amen to that.

Earlier, AJ swallowed a huge load! He used to be a spitter but he's tryin!

The polls are pretty clear and barring massive GOP vote fraud and disenfranchisement (and there are more than hints they will try), McCain simply can't win. Which makes me wonder if they are trying to incite the crowd for something post-election. It's a sick thought I know, but having seen Republican tactics in the past, I wouldn't put it past them. Karl Rove and a hundred lieutenants of his ilk are the scum of western civilization.

Massive GOP vote fraud?

So why is the only concrete proof yet uncovered that vote fraud IS being perpetuated by Democrat-supporting organisations?

Oh, come on, Pooky. It is pretty clear that Republican efforts at voter suppression in 2000 delivered Florida to Bush. Ditto their voter suppression in Ohio in 2004. In close races, Republicans have won lately because they excel at voter suppression and intimidation. It has been a while since we have had a "free and fair" presidential election. But it looks like it won't be close this time, so those efforts will come to naught.

There is never an excuse to display the appalling behaviour the extremists in McCain's campaign portray, and that comment from McCain's senior staff person is totally ludicrous! McCain was on the right track when he tried to stop the lynch mob mentality. The fact that the tried is all in his favour. The fact that he didn't succeed indicates how little respected he is within his own party. With supporters like that, who needs enemies? They are definitely disenfranchising any still undecided voters away from the Republicans.

Seriously.

Obama is a brave man, because you gotta know and he had to know that there are crazies out there that will not be able to handle a black man as President (if he is elected) and will try all sorts of ####### to get rid of him.

Cassie you nailed that one. Sure, any President is a target for some kinds of deranged people -- but as a black man, Obama could, heaven forbid, attract a much larger group of one-person lynch mobs. The Secret Service is taking these threats at recent Republican rallies seriously.

It is mildly encouraging that McCain and Palin seem to be trying to move away from this one -- but their campaigns are so disorganized and frequently off-message that worry is warranted.

Keep it to the current election.

Because if you delve into the past, BOTH sides are shady as hell. The most famous instance relates to the number of dead people in Chicago (Obama's hometown, coincidentally) who voted for JFK. You see, it's not just a GOP thing, rigging elections. You do the Democrats a great disservice by saying that.

Just to clear up one little niggly point....

There is no 'voter fraud' until the votes are cast.

Technically, yes. In the meantime there's plenty of suppression of voting rights. Selective vision really is something isn't it?

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

If past is prologue, recent past is most relevant. I am optimistically confident that voter suppression will be suppressed this time around. But that'll be mainly because the public is vigilant to prevent recent GOP crimes from repeating themselves again.

My Grand Pappy got a shot of whiskey to vote for Kennedy in the 1960 West Virginia primary.

That would be the Dems....

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Once again, an inept response to a serious point. Show me documented proof that the GOP are engaged in voter suppression/fraud this time around, on at least a comparable level to the Democrats (i.e. Acorn, and the entire Dallas Cowboys team among thousands) or STFUYFFB.

BTW, I am non-patisan here. I would vote for neither of the chumps running.

I do, however, object to the unsubstantiated assumptions made here, tarring one side with an anticipated wrong, when the other, as has been made evident, is already engaged in this malpractice. The level of smear from both sides is getting so far out of hand it makes me wonder if anyone can unite this country again.
