I've been doing my research as well.

I found out the Packet 3 is nothing but a checklist and info about setting up medical and interview. All he has to do is check off the list and sign that he has all of those forms ready for his interview. So we don't have to send any of our info with packet 3 they just want him to bring it to the interview.

Also on the tax question. I'm only sending 2008, I didn't see that you had to send more than the current one.

Hopefully , I can figure all of this out and it will all go smoothly!

You still have to send some or all of the forms with the checklist. The link they give you with Packet 3 tells you which you send.

I was hoping to fly earlier but they want to spend the holy week here in Manila since we are catholics and we have this family tradition we do prayers during those days until easter sunday.

So my fiance just received a letter from USCIS..

It was a RFE :(

He have to get a new passport, because he got his old one before he was 18, so it wasnt valid for 5 years..

And we need to include more proof that we met, i just dont get it , we included pictures, tickets and everything..

oh well :(

im just unlucky, first 2 lost petitions, i cant track my case and now this :(

7/31/2008 - Sended I-129F to VSC (lost in mail).

9/24/2008 - Resended I-129F to VSC (*sigh* lost again).

10/30/2008 - Resended again I-129F to VSC.

11/11/2008 - NOA1

03/09/2009 - RFE received

03/11/2009 - Returned RFE

05/23/2009 - Recieved 2nd RFE

Look on the bright side, least they are looking at your petition and didn't lose this one. As soon as you get your RFE sent back I'm sure approval will be yours very soon.

I look at all 'problems' as challenges. They are set up to test my strengths and weaknesses and present me with the opportunity to grow. I perceive this situation as just that. How badly do you really want to be with your fiancé? Are you willing to sacrifice, to be extra patient, to go the extra mile? If so, I am quite confident that everything will work out just fine.

As a teacher at an inner city school, and as a human being who has been around the world, I've had some big challenges too, but every single one of them has made me a fuller human being. I don't regret one.

Wish the two of you all the very best. Extra prayers for you!

Hmm, funny they didn't send you an email. Well the passport is pretty simple, although it may take a couple weeks turnaround. As far as the proof, make sure you send boarding passes not just tickets, more pics (maybe some with family, friends), copies of his passport stamps, you can even include a notarized affidavit from someone you hung out with together stating that you two definitely met, they were with you, etc. I have seen where some people receive RFEs for something they included to begin with but were asked to send again. One of those funny USCIS things, I guess. Get on getting that stuff to send right on back!!!!! And at least you know they are looking at your case now and that it wasn't lost...AGAIN!!!!

Unfortunately they probably won't accept the evidence from december as you need to show proof of meeting before filing. Here's what we sent in:

Passport stamps (and my visa) showing we were in Bahrain together

Tom's apartment lease in Bahrain

My boarding passes and itinerary for my trip to Bahrain

Luggage passes

Tickets for some attractions

My passport stamp for a trip to the US

Mine and Tom's luggage passes, boarding passes and itinerary for the US trip.

Some receipts for fuel and restaurants from both of our credit cards with a credit card statement from each of us showing the purchases (it helped we visited Niagara Falls and both made purchases on our cards on the same day)

Handful of photos (some were formal balls so I attached the invitations which had the dates on)

We were together in the UK for 9mths before he left for Bahrain and we never thought of keeping evidence so it was all from trips bar the photo's from the formal events).

I know it is hard but try to stay positive. I would try to dig up whatever you can and even resend the same photos in black and white or with borders or something. Maybe they will think it is something new...who knows with these people. I created a timeline with photos and sent additional info later because I decided to move to Nica to be with my SO, after we filed. I don't know for sure if they received the extra info. Good Luck! Sounds like your getting the royal treatment but don't let them get you down.
