I haven't been following this year though my parents have watched every game since the spring. Not sure what the A's stats are when they play us but it looks like it might be a tough one if all the hype is true!

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

It's strange not having the opportunity to wish the Yankees ill will in the postseason. Although I suppose it's a bonus that the Yankees' final season in precious Yankee Stadium didn't involve the playoffs.

It's nice to see some teams in the postseason who have really sucked in recent years.

Booooo, Dodgers!

:crying:

Truly tragic. Yet not as sad as the unsurprising and nauseating show of stupidity and political baiting by the denizens of Mordor.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Sorry about the Cubs. :(

And thanks for contributing to my lonely thread!

You know its weird when a National Pastime thread gets ignored.

Now I am sad for the White Sox...

Well, maybe it's me.

The Sox-Rays (I'm finally getting used to dropping the "Devil"--sort of a shame) series should be good. I predict a bench-clearer at some point.

I thought there were more baseball fans on the board...?

One thing: I wish commentators and such would stop talking about Jon Lester's cancer. Yes, it's a human interest story, yes, his performance since his return has been amazing, but give the guy a f*cking break. He seems to be doing OK (fingers crossed), but I literally cringe when commentators say he "beat" cancer. It's a little early to say that. And it just seems rude to keep bringing up his health history.
