Not sure if we all post our updated details as they occur here, or make spreadsheet changes on our own.?!

Anyway, my package was received and signed today by Chiba, and I guess I wait till I get a NOA in the mail correct? I created an account on the USCIS.gov site under https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp so I am assuming that is where I monitor the progress. I was also thinking that I may try and do a 'walk-in' at the biometrics office in Boston next time I am there as I read a few others did on this board, to save time and speed things along. I mean, what can I lose right.

03/04/2007 Entered as Canadian Visitor (no i-94 issued)

07/23/2008 Married in Las Vegas, NV.

10/03/2008 Mailed i-130, i-485, EAD to Chicago.

10/10/2008 AOS packet accepted & signed for.

11/02/2008 Received 2 NOA's, one for each application.

11/29/2008 Received a Yellow RFE regarding i-485. (Need additional Tax Info.)

12/10/2008 Mailed back RFE with required material from sponsor and joint sponsor. Sent Priority.

01/14/2009 Received ASC Biometrics Appointment Notice.

01/01/2009 ASC Biometrics Appointment Completed.

Just thought to share my walk-in biometrics experience with you guys

I did walk-in biometrics thinking it's okay things to do.

I see people doing it all the time here in visa journey.

It turned out, I was told that they don't do walk-ins anymore since 9/11 and i was asked who told me i could do this.

Although they gave me a hard time, i got to have biometrics done anyways cause the place was so empty.

I say try it out anyways if you live close from the office, or don't mind traveling.

but for those of you live far from the office, it might be good idea if you just wait for the appointment date.

Oh one more tip, leave your phone in your car!

You don't wanna walk back to parking like i did :bonk:

What's up everyone?! Good news and Bad News....The Good News: We received our NOA 1 for AOS. The Bad News: They rejected the EAD, because it was filled out on an outdated form! (1 month difference) Ugh! But, no biggie, we are going to be submitting the new EAD Form today, so it shouldn't be too much of a delay! We'll see.

P.S. Where do we go to view the spreadsheet?

When they sent you the REF about outdated form, did they send you the new FORM as well? because i can not find new form online. So my EAD is also an outdated form.

No they didn't send the new form. They just stapled the rejection notice along with the EAD form we submitted. If you go to USCIS website, they have the form that is to be used. The date at the top still says "Expires 8/31/08", but what they are referring to is the date on the bottom right corner. We used the form that was revised on 4/8/08 (which is the one on Visa Journey). They evidently are using the form that was revised on 5/27/08!

So stupid, they look exactly the same! But, I guess the barcode on the bottom of the page tips them off!

Yes, that's where you will track any developments once you receive your NOA's and have receipt numbers to input. How funny - I will be having my Biometrics done in Boston also! My appointment is this coming Thursday! I did consider trying a walk in but figured the appointment date was close enough to wait. They are pretty quick so you'll get your letter soon!

Technically you can try it anywhere, but not all offices allow it and I guess it's just the luck of the draw. Really, I'm not sure that it speeds up anything significantly though, but others may say otherwise...Good luck!
