So you're saying you're an ignorant cross-eyed law school dropout

Maybe but you know almost no one can name the Scotus decision by name.

Which law school did you attend?

Ok, how about the SCOTUS decision allowing Gitmo detainees to sue in federal court?

................................. I follow the news and had a year of law school but I haven't heard the name "Scotus" commonly bandied about concerning Gitmo.

......................................

This from the person who in 20 years (or whatever) of following foreign politics has never heard the Declaration of Human Rights cited for any reason whatsoever. I guess it's not so surprising then that he considers Ms Palin a smart cookie.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

SCOTUS is not the common abbreviation for the U.S. Supreme Court. At least those of us pre-Internet types never used the term in law school the early 90's before the Internet.

I gave you a chance to explain yourself and you had nothing to offer then or now. I asked you to show me your depth of knowledge and you brought a kiddie wading pool.

SCOTUS has been common in the news biz for decades.

No you didn't. You made a blanket assumption on the basis of a general statement. There was nothing in the statement you picked up on that indicated a lack of knowledge. Nor is there any assumption here that you are somehow 'owed' something by others in order to refute your rather unfair allegation.

In fact all you are doing is suggesting that its perfectly reasonably for a VP candidate for a major political party to be largely ignorant of the specifics of an issue that the Republican party (and Conservatives in particular) have made into perennial campaign issue. Again - the Supreme Court "making" law as opposed to applying it is either a real problem, or it isn't.

What's so hard to understand about that?

I'd never heard of SCOTUS either but I was able to discern it's meaning from the context of the message. I'm not sure why people are saying it's not a big deal that she knows next to nothing about major decisions made by the Supreme Court. Most Americans can at least think of of a couple of decisions in a general way (not the exact name). Heck, I can name Roe vs Wade and Brown vs the Board of Education myself and my legal expertise is next to nothing.

He has to argue semantics to prove how much more intelligent and well-read he is than everyone else. Clearly 1 year of law school gave him access to a whole lexicon of legal jargon and proprietary abbreviation that allow him to facilitate this fantasy, rather than use the common forms of address and concentrate on refining the content of an argument, rather than the presentation of it.

I had a lecturer at uni who did the same thing - she would use archaisms to deliberately obscure the material she was teaching - because in her mind she came off sounding more intelligent and the subject matter appeared to be more profound.

Oh, it's got to be about job creation, too. Tax reduction, health care reform and job creation to shore up our economy. So, there.

Don't ya know?

This gotcha stuff is just like the SNL sketch of Obama and Clinton. The press hurls a tough question at Clinton and tells Clinton the right answer then Obama parrots the given answer.

This stuff should generate a big viewing audience for the debates to see if Palin blows it or Biden comes up with more gaffes.

I also read the Yahoo article.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

:rofl::rofl:

Your ignorance is as obvious as Ms Palins, why would I waste my precious time trying to explain the obvious to a simpleton?

Is that really you PH or is your account hacked by the one you polled about in the other place?

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
