this is a general question but im very curious of after receiving the NOA2, how long does it take generally for the interview? and once receiving the NOA2 is everything downhill from there? I am finishing preparation to send my I-129 petition, maybe in a week, but i am always thinking ahead....

thanks in advance...

Good to see that you are starting your visa journey. Once you receive your NOA2 and your case is approved by the USCIS, your file will be transferred to the NVC. Once it is forwarded to the NVC, they will assign a file# and start the billing and filling out of imp. forms. But the entire processing at the NVC should be completed in 1-2 months at the max. However, each case varies and your case can always be an exception. But processing at the NVC is highly efficient and you will get past it without friction.

Best luck.

Adios

Hi there! Once the USCIS will send you a NOA2 the USCIS will forward your papers to NVC. Then a week-4 weeks its the latest..you will recieved a letter from them stating you have a case number. maybe it takes a month or 2 for the interview and medical. Hope this helps. Your welcome!

Once the file is forwarded to NVC, it's a short wait there then it's forwarded to the Consulate in the Beneficiary's home country. All consulates are different, therefore the interview wait varies by which consulate it is going to. Look up the consulate and see if there is a processing time there, or consult other VJers who have filed through the same consulate to get an estimate of interview timelines.
