we both must fill out the G-325A form (4 copies each) since the spaces are small can i do this using the computer to enter the info in the fields? i assume i can, and would i be able to also fill out my fiance's using my computer and mail her the document for her to sign them, then mail them back to me? we both dont have the best handwriting, and i think it would be best to do it this way. It says that my fiance also has to fill out the 4 forms, i can do it on my computer, and all thats real important is her offical signiture right? which i would mail for her to sign then mail it back..... or is it just best for each of us to hand write it?

You can also email the form to your fiance to fill out. Than she'll just print it and mail it to you. Sounds a bit easier than mailing it twice. Good luck!

If you want to send the paperwork in fast, according to the USCIS internal memo, the RFE should not be issued if the G-325A form is not signed by her as she could sign it at her interview. The link to the document is here http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/I1...325A_110105.pdf

Just print it out and attach it to the G-325A form you send.

Otherwise, it's OK to send her already filled in form for her signature only.

Good luck to you both on your visa journey.

does the I-129f form require both our signitures or just mine (the us citizen)? i couldn't access the I-129 file because it says 'the file is damaged and unable to be repaired' it said the same on both VJ.com and on the US embassy page.

just the US citizen

go to USCIS website to get the I-129F or any another forms you need

There have been many people who have failed to sign forms, and have then received an RFE. Absolutely do not risk not signing anyform. Why would you want to risk delaying your case for a needless RFE? Yes, you can fill her forms out on your computer, mail them to her to sign, then she can mail them back to you. I would not hand right anything. If you run out of room in the little blocks, type the rest out on an additional piece of paper. When you create your cover letter, put reference to it.

Hi Omar --

This is exactly what me and my SO are doing. I filled it out on the computer and sent it to him to sign as he doesn't have ready computer access. I know it adds another step in your process, but i wouldn't risk sending it without a signature. I'm learning from reading others stories it's always better to err on the side of caution with this process. Good luck!

Wow, I wished I would have seen this before. Great info.

That memo is three years old. I wouldn't risk it. If you can get them signed then do it.

Laura, you are absolutely right. In this game it's always better to play it safe than chance RFE. And as you rightly pointed out we don't know if this memo was superseeded by anything newer. The only reason I, personally, would rely on it if I desperately wanted to get the ball rolling and the beneficiary is from a country where computer access or even postal service is unreliable or slow. I'd send the paperwork in but also send the copies for beneficiary's signature so she /he can send it back while the process with the USCIS is ongoing. In the worst case scenario, they'll receive RFE but will have a signed form on had to send it straight away. Reading through the postings, it seems that it'####### and miss who gets RFE. Whether you decide you can take a risk, it's up to an individual couple. We all can tolerate different levels of risk taking, so who am I to say what's right for somebody and what's not? Not the best method of course, but worth a try when you are desperate. Ultimately, the best way forward is always to follow their instructions to the letter. I've made a mistake on my G-325A regarding signature (basically I made my h2b sign my form, it made so much sense at the time as they are talking about applicant's signature but it only afterwards occurred to me that maybe the main I-129F applicant and G-325A applicant are not the same...confusing  I have subsequently sent him another form with my signature on it, should we receive a RFE. I'll let you know if we get it or not  ).

Good luck to everybody... we all need it on this long road.

Maybe if they mention anything you can quote the memo or something. Then they can either say yes or no.

I know what you mean about the mail though, I sent the whole application to Tom and so far it has nearly been a month and he hasn't recieved it yet.

I have another question regarding the G-325A form so i decided to bring back this thread for asking......

On the G-325A form, the section where is says Husband of Wife on the 4th and 5th line downFormer Husband or Wife, who are they talking about? is that of the parent or of the us the petitioner and fiance? (obviously mine will be on separate sheet as the fiance) are they asking the information of the parents or information to see if we are or have been married before.....the answer is no, neither of us have been married so should i just put none where it states and for the rest N/A
