Not a thread

To my friends at Visajourney.com:

Shortly after posting my thread “The Chosen” I received a distressed call from

my sister in San Antonio with somber news that my older brother in Houston

cannot be located. Because Hurricane Ike caused so must devastation in that

area I am totally stunned by the news.

Since then, I have spent considerable amount of time on the telephone, and on

the internet sending e-mails to the Forth Worth-Dallas area where family members

also reside with hopes of finding good news. To no avail so far.

I write this message cognizant of the fact that whatever is taking place with my

brother is beyond my control..My brother and are both grown men and I am sure

that he would not want me to worry about him too much.

Therefore, because I understand that I have an obligation to my friends here at

V/J who read my thread and make comments – that I owe them a prompt response

to their comments..That has always been my motto.

However I am asking you to consider that the news of my bother`s situation. It has

totally wiped out my mood to write. I have not even felt like reading the existing

comments to my thread…Today I will read them and make notes as to those that I

will respond to shortly, but not today…Please bear with me…I have always tried

very hard to respond, not matter the comment…You are what cause me to write. I

care not if only one comment was made to my thread, rest assured that I will respond.
