Found the flight!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everybody I wanted to let u know that just now we finally found our tickets to Rome!!!!!!!!! I searched a lot and I found 2 tickets for 925 each. The flight leaves NY JFK on May 31 and goes straight to Rome. The return is scheduled for July 6 (8 days b4 my interview date) and goes from Rome to London and then from there to NY JFK. So I will only have to wait a week and to see my mom again! That was what I called luck. I am looking forward to seeing her again..... I also wanted to thank meddykomp who tried to find a ticket for us (we really appreciated ur help), flipside, PaolaLew and everyone who gave us some advice. To all of u guys: THANKS A LOT

Sounds about as much as we paid. We fly into Venice on the 27th of July. We paid $965, but aren't as lucky because we have to fly Indy to CHicago to Philly to Venice. But we won't care because we'll be on Vaca. We are flying US airways. Where did you get your ticket from?

The Indy part always adds time and money. I've found that it's a lot cheaper and less time-consuming (even with the drive) to fly from CVG (Cincinnati/Kentucky). It's one of Delta's major hubs, is directly off of the highway, is clean and nice, and hasn't been crowded when I've been there. Sian flies from Gatwick to CVG - nonstop - for £400. I don't know what a flight to Venice would be....

I live 45 miles west of Indy, and I'd STILL rather drive to Cincinnati. lol. There's no way I would drive to Chicago for a flight, and Indy will always be more expensive because of the commuter flight to Chicago. Just a thought for future reference.

Thanks guys! We found our tickets on orbitz.com after days and days seraching. The flight going there is alitalia. Coming back we transfer in London (alitalia flight) and from there we have an American Airlines flight that goes straight to NYC. We were lucky cuz all tickets to Rome, during this season, are about $1,500 and sometimes even $2,000!!! I dont know how I found them, but it was probably my lucky day lol. London was pretty cheap, like $500 or max $700 but from Heathrow we'd have to book another 2 flights that would bring us to Italy. There are cheap companies from London such as Ryan Air and Easy Jet but they leave from Gatwick and how the hell we'd go from Heathrow to Gatwick without missing the flight???

There's a coach/bus service that runs between them - or you can take the train - its easy to travel between them, don't stress.
