The one drawback to refugee is that he will have to wait until he has been here 5 years before he can apply for citizenship, but he says he doesn't care about that. He just wants to be with me. I think I am going to work on him getting me the paperwork because I really think we should do both. They may be going slow on his paperwork for refugee just because they know he has another way here. Who knows with them?

Happy Caturday, Y'all! I just made some homemade vegetable beef soup and it's a-cooking away in the crock pot. Will be ready late tonight with some fresh French bread from Sam's. (sorry for all who are fasting - I didn't mean to tempt anyone.)

S & S - he might actually be able to apply for citizenship after 3 years if married to you and meeting the 3 years residency. Maybe, maybe not - but it would be worth investigating a few years down the line.

Whats different about facebook?

They changed the appearance of it, the page when you log in and also the profile page. I think they're switching everyone gradually.

Good Afternoon.

Is it soup yet?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Not that much...we have just found more of our friends and Hazem has found business contacts much more than myspace has ever provided. Other than that...same thing different spin. They also claim more privacy than myspace but its all the same in my opinion. I dig it :)

Mmm...Soup....Staashi send me some!! hehe :)

Good Afternoon.

Is it soup yet?

{{{Nagi}}} Two days in a row...be careful on my heart! :P

:ot: I really don't like the "new" Facebook

I love it! It's like Windows Vista. :D You have to take the time to learn the new technology before you can become able to appreciate it.

S & S I don't know if I'm overstepping telling you about this because I have to find the articles to back it up. But we just had a Journalist come speak at our classes, Molly Hennessey-Fisk, who works for the L.A. Times and reported from Iraq. She told us yesterday in class that the journalists interpreters were being given US asylum for helping them, because they can't go back home as people from their village plot to kill them when they learn of people that help American Soilders and Journalists. Especially in the Shia populated villages of southern Iraq.

They also plot to kill any fellowship students that go to the US or other Western cultures to learn about the technology and advancements and get an education and after two years when they go back to Iraq the people kill them. So they changed legislation so that the fellowships could apply for asylum and stay in the US because what's the point of going back when you're just going to get killed. They can't help their country at this time but maybe when things stabilize more there they can go back and help. One of the fellowship students own brother killed him when he came back. And this happened with many others. It's very sad but a sure fire way to get a visa here now.

Hopefully though your Husband is in a safe place and able to get the visa soon.
