Amal I know you are going to hunker down and stay put. I am praying for your safety. I'll be watching the radar as the storm moves over your area.

Who else do we have in the storms path?

I hope your power stays on so you can update us. If you lose internet, call Terrie and she can let us know you are safe. Love you amal and be safe.

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

nope, we're under a tornado watch right now :P

what will be interesting to see is if that map updates over time, i took the link straight from their website.

currently it's at 1600 fri central time.

aww *sniff* I love you all!! Thanks a lot for thinking of us and all the other ppl in IKE's path today and thru the storms end.

HERE'S A LINK To what we are watching on the weather channel for Houston. It is not too far behind the live viewing. I just got home from buying non-perishable items..crackers, canned meat, chips, soda, water, honey, bread...i think thats about it ....and we ahve canned food as well. Our 2 bath tubs are filled with water for use when we need the bathroom. All the laundry is done, dishes are done, food is stocked, phone is charged, I'm filling an ice cooler with ice as we speak...all we need now is the hurricane to arrive. I've got a ball in my stomach that is making me feel nauseous so I'm guessing that's ??anxiety?? or gas lol :blush:

We haven't gotten any rain yet but the wind has just recently (in the last 20 to 30 minutes) started to pick up and blow like a beautiful Spring day in Missouri.

I was wanting to take some videos but I can't figure out how to take them on the blackberry. Could any of u BBusers help me with that? otherwise I'll just have to post still pictures..

There were 3 million ppl evacuated in specific zip codes but ours was not one of them. Too many ppl evacuating is just dangerous as the traffic jams cause ppl to run out of gas and end up dying from heat exaustion (like in hurricane Rita). They told us to buckle down and ride it out so that's what we're doing.

U all in Missouri be careful. My mom told me that there are tornadoes going all over the place in Kansas City/Sedalia areas. I'll be praying for all of you who are in Tornadoes way tonight.

I'll do my best to keep you all updated as I can. I'm not sure who I'll do my contacting with in the event that we lose electricity but I'll try to have someone be my outside contact to keep you all updated.

well :blush: U know I like to share everything so I couldn't let IKE be kept all to myself. I didn't want you all to feel left out :whistle: so I told IKE to head north after it beats the living schiznit outta us :dance: enjoy!!

no seriously, stay safe and take the proper precautions! I wanna know that you're all still here in the morning! I've decided that when the news ppl are videoing me and my family as we float by on our dining room table...I'm gonna give a "sammy sosa salute" to my family and vj friends!!! I've also thought about putting leashes on my cats and tying them to the table ...they can swim if they fall off and we won't lose them that way :whistle: OH OH...AND I have been toying around with making duct tape harnesses and string leashes for my fishies.. They will be right at home swimming along with us..do u think it would work???... :rofl:
