When we submitted AOS packet (I-485 + I-765), we had just sent in the DS-3025 that we had from the K-3 medical. The reason was that we wanted to get the process started and obtain EAD as soon as possible, and we did not really care if we got an RFE for I-485 or when we got the green card.

We have already received the EAD, and today we received the interview letter. So we are wondering if should get the additional shots and have the vaccination transcribed to Form I-693 now, or just go for the interview and take our chances.

Has anyone tried this, and did it work? Did anybody get RFE for I-693 during or past the interview phase? Does setting up of interview imply that they are fine with medical, or does it mean nothing? Thank you very much in advance for sharing your experience!

No it does not guarantee that all is good... the interviewer can request additional evidence at or during the interview

YMMV

if they didn't send RFE for I-693.. that means it's already good. they usually send request if they want additional documents from you. i read some post that their DS-3025 is good enough for the interview.

i also send my DS-3025 without I-693 so i hope it's already good.

Good luck !

I have seen posts where people have been given RFE for medical at the interview. I think some were even simply because the wrong edition (expired) of the form was used by the Physician. You may be okay without the new form, you may not. For some it is worth the risk, for others, it is better to be on the safe side and have the new form ready in case they are asked.

If they give you an RFE at interview, and tell you that you will be approved once you submit the requested information, this can delay your approval for some time, as your case is shelved for the RFE. Approval does not appear to be immediate upon USCIS' receipt of RFE information.

It's your choice, but be prepared to be handed an RFE for that medical - it can and does happen to some people at the interview.

We sent in just the DS-3025 because all of the civil surgeons in our area wanted a full medical. My wife did have all the required vaccinations. I figured the worst case would be an RFE and some delay. We never got the RFE, and at the interview I asked if everything including the medical were OK. The interviewer looked at the copy of the DS-3025, checked it over, and said it was fine. We got the I-551 stamp in my wife's passport before we left his office.
