Jummmy & Prima and Jay, The links you posted were very helpful. Now I feel like I know so much more. Thanks a lot.

I called the NVC and my case did not show up in their system. Said it may take more time. Freaking out a little since other peoples cases that were approved the same day (sept 3) have recd their NVC according to the spreadsheet. Makes me nervous  That raises another question, the NVC column is for when you receive a NVC tracking number or a package via mail?

Also, I do not know how to add the timeline to my signature. Is it a manual copy paste or is there an automated way to do it by linking it to your profile?

Yep!

September 9, my wife had her interview at the US Consulate in Tegucigalpa (Honduras) and was approved.

Funny thing is, I received the notification for her interview here in the US and she never received notice....not untill a couple of days later when the Honduran mail system caught up with her.

Anyways, glad the wait is over...I'm flying down there to pick her up.

Hi Rmusic, I have followed up with the NVC - called and checked the automated voice response system and talked to an agent. They told me that it could take upto 90 days to get the case in the system and refused to provide any other information. I am really scared. I notice date for approval was 9/3 and today its the 9/15!!! I noticed a lot of peoples timelines and it usually happens pretty quick. Not sure why mine is taking longer. I hope its not 90 days :clock:

As soon as anything happens, I will post something in the forum and will also update the spreadsheet.

I will be preparing for the next few steps and so I should be very active on the forum. This forum is sooooooooo helpful.

Good luck with receiving your NVC tracking number.

I think I belong here but im not sure. Still really new to these forums. I have no idea what "touched means" but I did receive my approved I-130 last week, however the NVC has nothing yet.

I am feeling a little restless since I feel I should be doing something to move it along but I don't know what. Also there is the matter of timing since Govi won't be coming through POE until around July 7 so he needs to get his visa after January 7(it expires after 6 months) - I guess now is the best time to chill, get our docs together... I told Govi to get his PCC in Kathmandu - he has lived there for the last 5 years but before then he lived in a village in the south - if he needs to go in person to get another PCC from there it could slow things down whether we like it or not, though another Nepal VJer said the PCCs are all handled through KTM....

Mrs Rowe,

I have everything absolutely ready to mail out. I am unsure if I should continue using this lawyer who is worthless. I have been on my case like crazy unlike him. Anyway I called NVC and my case number was assigned yesterday. I will try for IIN but not kill myself. Tomorrow I am supposed to receive by FedEx my husbands PCC, which was all I needed. I wonder if that needs to get translated?

Hi M&S,

I wouldnt worry because your I-130 was approved in 3 months which is really quick. Normally it takes 6 to 7 months for an approval of 1-130. When they say it takes 90 days to get the case number in the system, that means it is just a set rule. I personally think you will have your case number by the end of this week.
