Okay, we got the dreaded RFE for my husband's divorce decree. He sent in a copy but his mother went to their lawyer this morning and got the correct one and it will be mailed to tomorrow morning so it looks like we are in the running for January interview again. Geeze, i hope so .

yes, i believe you will have jan interview MrsRowe from the time NVC puts the rfe documents in their system, it will take more or less a week for them to complete the case so i think you should be done by 1st week of december. just tell your husband to mail the documents using expressmail or whatever is fastest.

I got interview date on January 28, 2009. I expected first week of January. I don't know what went wrong. Case was completed on Nov. 5th. I don't know y they did this to me.

One thing I don't understand is why they give you Jan 28, your case was completed only one day after mine. What I was thinking was may be due to holiday they didn't give you interview in December but they should have schedule it for the first or second week of Jan not at the end of Jan. My friend case is under final review at NVC and should be completed by next week and they are also going at the Mumbai so when I hear from them about their interview date I will let you know too.

It is strange that my case was completed two weeks after adinath521 and both cases are at Mumbai consulate still I got interview date two days before him.

I think when they start scheduling they look at priority date. Your priority date is before than mine. so, for them it doesn't matter when case completed. Priority date matters. That's the only thing I can think of. Worst comes worst, my wife's cousin is getting merried in second week of February. I conveniced her cousin if it is more than one month for marriage, then she is not going to stay. Now, cousin's marriage is only two weeks after interview date. So, some more delay.

I am going through hard times so don't know if our marriage will survive... I may be going blind so how can I support my husband when he comes??? As it is I won;t be able to pay for health insurance for him so don;t know what to do now. All of the old doubts are coming back and I am thinking if he wanted to emigrate(which I know was one reason he married me) he should have married a German citizen instead like so many Nepalis... Good luck to everyone, I really don;t know what to do at this point.

I am so sorry to hear of your health problems. I feel your pain. Have you talked to your husband about it. I am sure he will stick by your side. In sickness and health and in good times and bad, right..... I'll say a prayer for you. Hang in there.

Same here, our interview is on Dec 23 and her cousin also getting married on Jan 10-11 so some more delay there, but I told her enjoy the wedding since she will not see the wedding done same here as they do in India ( wedding in india are lot more fun then wedding in the US ) so...
