Appointment for Biometrics

I'm in a weird situation here.

I've already had biometrics taken there in August 2008 (like 2 weeks ago) and there were no problems.

Recently I've received another appointment on September 9 which is on a Saturday! To my knowledge, offices open rarely on Saturdays. So I searched their business hours (USCIS Portland, Oregon) and they do not open on Saturdays.

I'm confused as they don't have a phone number. Shall I go there on Friday (tomorrow) to check on stuff? Or does anyone know their phone number? And no I don't need the USCIS customer service phone number, it's useless.

Thanks :)

Most Application Support Centers are open on Saturdays. So if you have an appointment for Saturday its probably not a mistake.

Don't let the choices chose you, chose the choices that you want.

Application Support Centers are open Tuesday to Saturday....

USCIS Application Support Center

721 Southwest 14th Avenue

Portland, OR 97205-1904.

OFFICE HOURS:

This office provides services to the general public by appointment from 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Tuesday through Saturday.

Your first biometrics was for EAD and the second is for greencard. Most of the time you can have both done at the same time if you knew to tell them.

YMMV

Vani - NO tricks at all. Your appointment is on Saturday. Don't worry about reading too much into this. In fact there was an article on www.uscis.gov that was informing the general population (meaning us) that "if you get a notice to show up on a weekend OR after business hours" that it is NOT a mistake. It is part of their trying to cope with a backlog of applications. So don't sweat the small stuff - go there on Satruday and move on pal.....make room for the rest of us folks who are waiting in line...LOL!! And GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Biometrics are NOT done at the USCIS field office but the Application support center..... You are looking at the wrong office.

YMMV

The information you are looking at on the USCIS website is for the main office, not the ASC office which is on located at 721 SW 14th AVE in Portland.
