No,but I saw Green Card with Gerard Depadieu and Andie McDowell.

when i watched that many years ago, i thought it was cute all the fake marriage and all. so nice of her. i think unless you are american or you've actually experience immigration, you realize that it's fraud and it's a big problem for the united states.

Not that before I was ok with fraud, it's just that it never crossed my mind that it was wrong, it's movies, it's romantic.

Mail Order Wife - is that the one where the woman is from Burma and the guy who is ostensibly filming a "documentary" steal's his freaky friends mail order wife? His friend likes to keep snakes?

"you like snake, I like pig"

that one?

Yep, that's the one. I think it could have done with a little more polish, but overall it was a really clever movie. The woman who plays Liechie (sp?) is superb. The loser husband is also very good. I didn't much care for the documentary guy, but I think he was the producer or something so got to cast himself.

I've always thought that if you really wanted to make a good "mail order bride" type movie, all you'd have to do for research is read VJ for about a month. But then again, I wonder if audiences would believe half of it. :)

I saw it a couple of years ago. Disturbingly funny.

it was a strange yet funny movie..with a strange ending

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Ha! You are so right about that! It would also make a great reality show.

And yeah - Liechie was great. It wasn't until she did her scene about why she likes her pigs that her mask kind of fell and she seemed less natural and she appeared to be acting. I did think the creepiness of the documentary guy was really well done.
