Does the author not have a point, PP? He's simply saying that compared to Inter, AC, Barca et al, Everton are small fry. And even the the most ardent blue-nose would struggle to argue with that, surely?

I mean, I'd liken the situation to somebody saying, "compared to Everton, Villa, Spurs, and Newcastle, Southampton are small fry." I don't think I could disagree, tbf.

No, I'm saying Villa are a club of similar size to Everton. As are Spurs and Newcastle. And all aforementioned clubs are bigger than Southampton. My fault - the sentence is poorly punctuated.

Pretty mixed bag this week (they were tricky games, right enough) but Pooky sees a return to form with 21pts, and subsequently cuts my lead at the top to 18pts. But with only 2 weeks to go, is it too little too late? A return to form (rkl "form" that is) for rkl, who returns to the basement after a paltry 4pts scored.

Newcastle pulling out a win which followed an EAD approval and a Leonard Cohen Concert to follow.. Great way to start the week..

So Pleased with the Newcastle result, Hubby says it was better than the EAD approval.

Your hubby is right. Had the Toon got beat, he would have been a right miserable #### whilst the toon were playing championship football. Thankfully, if we win tomorrow, that wont happen. Big thank you to Hull City & Phil Brown.

Well as things stand right now, I've got 15 & you've got 16 going into tomorrow & Monday's games - high stakes on those 3 results, Pookster. Could be the difference between it being all over, or set up a nailbiter on the last day!
