Hey everybody!

Hope everyone is well. My husband and I have taken care of his visa. After receving the UPS package with his visa on Saturday and opening it to find that he was born in Iran instead of Turkey I called the consulate on Monday and explained the situation. The woman apologized profusely and gave us an emergency appointment time at 1:30 the same day. We went in and waited a long time, but the staff was very friendly with us (except for the Turkish women at the door who deal with non-immigrant visas -- they can be really rude!). They called us up to window 3, looked at the passport, laughed and apologized "60% of all applicants are from Iran, so when we go to fill out the visa information on the computer, the country blank is filled with Iran already to make it easier".

So yeah, they *did* say UPS would be paid for by them because it was the consulate's mistake, but the guy at the UPS counter couldn't figure out how to do it so we had to pay at home when it came, BUT THAT'S OK BECAUSE THEY FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were soooooooo worried we'd have to do another interview or pay money again or something, but everything was ok.

We got the visa Wednesday morning at our door and we're leaving on the 12th of September.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everybody -- I wish you all the best!!!!!!!!!!!! :luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv::luv:
