Ooo, shoot, it's probably a little late for the trip there, but for when you're coming back to the US, there are a lot of great dua for a traveler

Transliteration:

Allaahum-ma in-nee a'oodhubika miuwa'thaa`is-safiri wa ka`aabatil munqalabi walhaori ba'dal kaori wa da'watil mazloomi wa soo`il manzari fil ahli wal maal.

Meaning:

O Allaah, I seek refuge in You from the troubles of the journey, and from returning with failure, and from regress after progress, and from the curse of the oppressed, and from seeing hardships in family and wealth.

There is also a sahih hadith that states that a traveler's dua is definately accepted:

The Messenger (saws) said:

"Three types of du'a are undoubtedly granted: a parent's du'a for his children, du'a of a fasting person, and du'a of the traveler." [Abu Dawud]
